Thread: Hard speed cap should equal hard range cap for balance purposes
Feh.. I really don't feel like typing this all again. Look in this thread and I go at length into tactics between our classes and some of the more positive changes I've suggested.

Why not get some facts before crying for nerf.
Did you guys realise last patch they did put a accuracy nerf in?
Do you think a 50-400 dmg rifle should be able to shoot as fast as a 50-200 dmg pistol?
Do you think its fair that if a target is closer then 30m from you, that you shouldnt be able to hit it?
have you seen a pistoleer drop 5+ people at once with advanced strafe hitting for 1500 damage on each one?
Im a master pistoleer/smuggler. 2 nights ago I was shooting at someone swimming away from me. I was standing still. You know I missed 9 shots in a row untill he got out of my range?
Seriously, get some facts, and most importantly, THINK before you want to instil something like this. Its just moronic and idotic.
No i do not think moronic what i think is crazy is makeing pistols able to fire 6x speed of rifles at same range and fact due to why kyrt tissue and other power up work hit for nearly as much damage PER shot.
There current is not balance its completely in pistols favior you will be able to shot 6 times faster and for 80% of damage. Pistol made on wanderhome other day was 107 to 267 with +81 kyrt tissue. Yes its extreme pisto btw its not even been sliced or a powerup applied. If he happens to get damage slice and good damage power up he will have a pocket T21 pistol.
Now thats one the problems currently the gun bonus system faviors pistols to extreme Example takes 1 kyrt tissue to make most pistols takes 6 to 11 tissue to make most rifles yet rifle only gains benefit of first tissue.
A min +30 kyrt tissue gives a pistols 50% min bonus damage and around 20% max damage. +30 bonus damage is like 25% min on T21 and 10 % max. Yet you still need to apply 11 of them.
Now back to range penalties a pistol IDEAL RANGE is 8 to 16 m so why should a pistol be able to hit 50m out. ???
Whats the reason a pistol should shot fastest then a rifle is because rifles do more DPS no its not. Its because rifles can possible hit an unhealable pool Except rifles already pay to do this with low DPS and Extreme Ham costs.
We have no range advantage on rifle let me tell you range is 3rd most important thing in pvp
1) Is Speed Movement or weapon speed
2) Is abitily to damage your enemy
3) Is range
4) Is being able heal damage done to you
I very much doubt many pistolers feel any fear faceing a rifleman unless he is a MASTER. Yet rifleman worry aboat novice Pistolers why because if they get close we need move to try break range so we can hit as much as them by moving we incure a accuracy penalty its a double edged sword.
Pistols user gain a lot of accuracy bonues while MOVEING +30 accuracy while moveing
While a rifleman gain +10 while moveing at MASTER rifleman not going be hugely successfull at kiteing
Question why shoulded a rifle user have the advantage from long Range ?
Now only other option besides hard caps is to increase the penalty for fireing outside your ideal range in that why maybe a pistoler would miss anoth to make it a contest at 50m +.
Yea bring kyrt Rifles into picture they are basicly impossible to make well any the high end guns are. How often do kyrt dragons drop 11 identical scales and the fact you only gain benefit for first scale means your wastes 10 scales on minor upgrade to T21. Vs 1 scale for major damage upgrade on pistol.
No reason why pistol spec attacks should range out to 64m they have ideal range of 8m to 16 m in current system no reason why melee shoulded range 64 m as well if you think pistols should be able to shot as far as rifles,
I also forgot to add in holosaid they are going to be boosting your damage since they are giving you guys a hard speed cap, same for carbineers.
And dont bring krayt guns into the picture unless you bring krayt rifles in the big picture as well. They still cost an armload and not eveyrone has them.
Do you see any pistols with medium armor piercing? Oh how nice to forgot about things like this.
