Thread: Which Rifle to use to stick a Dizzy?

Well if you run for the "spray and pray" tactics when trying to dizzy a mob of players I almost always use the Jawa Ion cannon. I'll pick out one target somewhere near the middle of the group and spam flurry2 five to six times or until I've noticed that he's dizzied. After that I'll swap over to flushing shot 2 with the jawa as to add a stun state on top of the dizzy. Now if done right you could switch back to flurry 2 and dizzy some more with a quick strafe 2 to startle them and possibly land them on their back. I will add in a burst run on this method and have been able to drop groups of 5on their back before I incap.

Though I usually pull this move as a rifleman's last ditch because you're not doing a great amount of damage but what you have done is stacked the dizzy so that any pistoleer, carbineer, BH or smuggler could pull a KD shot on them and they will still have the flurry (10 second flip game) dizzy affects.

I pulled this a couple of weeks ago which lead to one player whine about how the Jawa shouldn't be in game and comp needs better stun resist. What he didn't realize is that it was the area attacks with the state affects that caused him and his team to fall. I did go incapp but the others with me were able to finish them off. I'll also use this on Comp gods to keep them on the ground so that I can make a quick get away or heal/muon up for round two.

How much speed do you have? If +90, you need 5.0 or better for 1.0 with flurry1 and 4.3 or better for 1.0 with flurry2. If +95, you get 1.0 on both with anything less than 8.7.

Accuracy, speed, low HAM. If you are buffed, HAM doesn't matter, and usually accuracy won't either, so you'd be better off getting something that's fast but that still will deal some damage. As a BH, I always used CDEF carbines for KDs, just was easier, but in PvP I started using an Lcarb since that would actually contribute some damage too, but I could only really use it if I was completely buffed.

Agree with the posters above to go for your best accuracy mod. For me it'd be my dxr6 with +79. I think you mentioned somewhere that you have a super high (129?)one Wayne, so you should be set with that. Or an E11 should have decent (around 50-60) mods also or a spraystick for closer encounters.

A speed sliced e-11, or a DXR-b. They both can reach insane accuracy. I like e-11's and always will.

I recommend flurry1 though, given that lowblow has a delay and it's single target too.

Out of curiosity, I looked up Eaca's thread:

Here is the rifle image it points to =====> Eaca's Accurate Laser Rifle

CDEF's are nice too. +0 at all Ranges if you have to get close to someone.

I had an E 11 accuracy made for me, has +123 at ideal. The mod itself stops at +50 but the higher theaccuracy the broader the +50 range band is. Ham is killer, 93 mind, stocked and scoped, no adv blaster handler so fairly low dmg unforunatey (shortage of ostrine ore atm) Best to hit flushing2 a couple of times to smack a stun and then dizzy; and this rifle doesnt miss, just need to get through dodge &counter attack mods.

Dang, sorry to hear about your Ostrine shortage. Over here on Lowca we have a bunch and are quite pleased about it!

I use a DXR6b for status effects.. excellent accuracy mods (mine is +78 @50m). Also, I had accuracy tweaked jawa ion rifles made, and put accuracy powerups on them for the defense stacking composite armor wearers prepatch 7.

the higher accuracy guns make the shot land more often, and i'm convinced that the likelihood of getting a status effect "stuck" is a function of "how well" the shot landed... i.e. how much in excess of the minimum to hit was the roll. I have no evidence to back this up, unfortunately, it's just my working theory.

What's insane accuracy on a E11?

Well look up a thread called "Dodge this", she has pictures there. This is a quote from her in that thread:

"Gave up before I got a 32 ideal/16 max accuracy mod powerup, but I did get the 32 ideal range one.

New stats +154 @ 60m (-50 @ 64m... thats a drop of 51 accuracy per meter...)
Did some more testing with a live target. At 0m and 64m accuracy in the HUD was -50 for both. Moving away from the target the HUD modifier hit +50 at 36m while standing still, and at 44m while running away. Between 60 and 64m it was just crazy, the slightest creep was like a diff of 30."
There is even a picture of an even nastier DXR in this thread.

I would love to know how a E11 with +154 accuracy at maximum range was made. DXR6's can have tremendous ideal range, the best I have ever seen on a E11 is in the 50's at ideal.

Thanks,everyone...I've learned a lot from this thread.!

It's funny how sometimes you have gold in your hands and don't even realize it! I've been fortunate to acquire a little money, so I can afford to buy any rifle I need. When the DXR-6b rifles first came out, I didn't even know it until a dealer brought a crate of them into Coronet and picked me, fortunately, to do the slicing. He was going to sell them at that time for, I think, around 500-600K each, but told me he would sell a few to me for 200K per.

I bought my first DXR6 from him and sliced it immediately. High speed. Being a Master Rifleman, I obviously wasn't happy... Give me Damage or Give me Death! So I bought another from him. Speed! Damm! I bought a third, watching my bank account dwindle, but now dead set on getting a Damage-sliced DXR6. Fortunately 3rd one sliced for damage, but only 19%. Still I had a 420-max damage DXR6. So in my mind the first two speed-sliced DXR6x were useless to me. I gave the lower speed-sliced one to a friend and kept the other.

My point is (finally) that last night, as I went through my rifles to find my highest accuracy rifle, guess which one it was? My speed-sliced DXR-6b not only fires at 3.3 speed, butdoes 352 max damage and has an accuracy in the 80's!!!! And I had even tried to sell it in Coronet a while back. I think I have found my "Stick a Dizzy" rifle!

also keep in mind.. accuracy powerups are not worthless. you put them on a gun you use for status effects, and use macros so that that gun ONLY fires flurry2 and flushing 2. I start with flushing, actually, 'cause if you stick a stun, the rest of your shots are nearly guaranteed to hit. you then deal damage with your jawa (typically lousy accuracy) or T21, or whatever.

wayne.. i'm pm'ing you my main pvp macro. look it over and let me know if you have any questions.

Pretty much have to ask for it. Weapon smiths dont normaly make weapons like this, requires stocks, scopes and the itselfweapon all experimented for range instead of dmg. Usually makes a high ham, slower, lower dmg weapon that has high accuracy. Once thats done a goodE-11 should be around +120 accuracy. Then with range/accuracy pwr up of about 30% or so you get +150-160 ish. Like I posted earlier mines +123 accuracy, a 33% pwr up gives me 163 accuracy. Unfortunately I got a dmg slice instead of speed and I dont have the seas to hit the cap even with a 6ish speed weapon; so I normally throw a speed pwr up on it to hit the stun/dizzy faster so I can go back to dealing dmg with my T 21.
