Thread: Which Rifle to use to stick a Dizzy?

This is embarassing... as long as I have been a rifleman I should know the answer to my questions below.

But the fact is, I don't, so once again I call on the Rifleman "Circle of Knowledge" to enlighten me....

(* Kneels down and solemnly offers a DaisyBB gun on the Rifleman's sacrificial altar *)

Okay, besides Master Rifleman, I am Master Smuggler and I have a pistol shot called 'Low Blow' which is a KnockDown shot. The problem is, it is no longer any good with the other pistol shots I have. Used to, Smugglers could fire "Low Blow" to knock down, then "Panic Shot" to delay the victim 10 seconds. A10-second knockdown is a big help! But, the Nerf bat swung and Panic Shot was itself "low-blowed". Now any subsequent damage to the delayed victim ends the delay. Panic Shot is now mainly a "delay them, and run like hell" shot.

So Rifleman has Dizzy and Smuggler has Knockdown... hmmm... sounds like its time to write a Macro!

So I want my macro to do the following:
-- Switch to the best rifle for sticking a Dizzy (Flurry shot)

-- FIreFlurry shot (how many?)
-- Switch to my pistol

-- Fire Low Blow (Knock Down)

The whole reason I started this overly long post is that I wanted to know: When trying to stick the Dizzy with FS2, is one rifle better than another? Does a DLT20, for example, have a better chance of landing the Dizzy than a Laser (even though it's weaker)?

Maybe what I'm really asking is "How hard is it to dizzy someone?" (IPvP very little, but may start doing more)

Should I fire more than one Flurry shot in my macro before switching to Pistol/KD ?

All help and opinions are appreciated!

I don't think any weapon causes a status effect to land better. All that you can really do is get an accurate weapon, to ensure you hit.

If you are going to use it solely to stick the dizzy, I'd switch to a spraystick and spam it two or three times. Spraysticks shoot VERY fast, and I do not think the gun makes much difference as far as sticking the dizzy goes...

Back in the day I used to spam flurry, then suppressionfire with my spraystick to get people flopping around.

Yeah accuracy could become a problem there though...

Thanks, Gavnik... but speed isn't really an issue at Master. I should be able to fire Flurry2 fast enough with any rifle...

The only reason I asked at all is that I think a LONG TIME AGO (and I stress the word LONG) I thought I read something on this forum about one rifle being better than another accuracy wise... seems like someone said they used the DLT20A because of it's accuracy to stick a particular shot.... but it was SOOOOO long ago I don't remember...

Oh well, guess I should just equip my fastest rifle to be sure then.... and I do have a spraystick.

You'd probably be good with some kind of E11. They have pretty good accuracy mods and low ham costs. But yeah, you are going to want to switch to your most accurate weapon. I don't think the weapon will have any effect on whether the dizzy sticks or not though, just on whether you hit.

It can be tough to dizzy someone if they have high defenses vs dizzy, so the pistoleer/fencers I think are usually very hard to dizzy, not to mention kd. But good luck, and let us know if you find out anything useful.

I am in agreement with Skel here. Personally I am getting an E11 that is going to be modified for accuracy, they already have low ham. Going to use this as my stat rifle, plus I am picking up carbine skills for all the stat effects, there I am getting a speed carbine so I can shoot at cap. In both cases though the idea is speed and accuracy, you really aren't looking for damage, the damage comes with the T21 or Jawa after they are on the ground .

Ask Eaca about the mods on her E11 the accuracy is just insane.

Well look up a thread called "Dodge this", she has pictures there. This is a quote from her in that thread:

"Gave up before I got a 32 ideal/16 max accuracy mod powerup, but I did get the 32 ideal range one.

New stats +154 @ 60m (-50 @ 64m... thats a drop of 51 accuracy per meter...)

Did some more testing with a live target. At 0m and 64m accuracy in the HUD was -50 for both. Moving away from the target the HUD modifier hit +50 at 36m while standing still, and at 44m while running away. Between 60 and 64m it was just crazy, the slightest creep was like a diff of 30."

There is even a picture of an even nastier DXR in this thread.

I had an E 11 accuracy made for me, has +123 at ideal. The mod itself stops at +50 but the higher theaccuracy the broader the +50 range band is. Ham is killer, 93 mind, stocked and scoped, no adv blaster handler so fairly low dmg unforunatey (shortage of ostrine ore atm) Best to hit flushing2 a couple of times to smack a stun and then dizzy; and this rifle doesnt miss, just need to get through dodge &counter attack mods.

i use a max damage 53, 150 power mind poison spray stick for this. works great... course you have to get your hands on said uber-spray stick

before i had that, lazer rifle was it... lazer rifle is your gun of choice for all things except... heavy armor (use T21) and composit (use jawa). it should be much faster than your T21 any way, and i believe more accurate

I would use a DXR6 as well. Probably spam it twice just to be sure. I usually only ever have to fire Flurryshot once or twice to get it to stick.
