Thread: As a New Rifleman I have a few questions for the more Experienced Riflemen/women
mikejson...
Interesting that you should ask that hot-keys question right now. I just decided last night that I didn't like my hot-keys and I spent some serious timerearrangingthem and testingacouple of newmacros. I don't have a perfect answer, mayber barely a good answer.... just something I tried that definitely needs some playing with. This is just to give you some ideas to get started:
------------------------------------------
Prior to last night
I had all my basic rifle stuff on one set of (24) hot-keys. My 24 keyswere divided into the following classes:
Position/action: prone (for rifle), kneel (for pistol), stand, burstrun, aim, attack, maskscent
Health: Macro for healself, a stim-B, and a stim-D.
Weapons: Scout blaster, T21, Laser, DLT20A, E11
Shots: Bodyshot2 (pistol), Warning shot, Suppression, Flurry2, Concealshot, MS2, MS1, HS3, HS2
Pros: Everything on one bar
Cons: Shots missing, Weapons missing (Spraystick, backup Laser rifle for killing nests)
------------------------------------------
Last Night:
I decided to put all my pistol related actions on one unused hot-key pane (24 buttons) and rearrange/modify all my rifle actions on the existing pane.Icreated the following two new macros using the '/uiaction' command:
-- Jump to pistol pane, equip the scout blaster, and stand up (may add warningshot to this macro!)
-- Jump to rifle pane and equip the DLT20A
I think it's pretty obvious where each of these buttons go.
Here are some notes about this new setup:
-- There is necessary duplication of buttons on the two panes: stims, warningshot, burstrun, etc...
-- The rifle pane is still full now, but at least has a few more rifle shots on it.
-- The pistol pane is not full, so maybe I will add some basic rifle stuff back onto it.
-- I dont mind the "jump from rifle pane to pistol pane" action, but for some unexplained reason I am NOT comfortable with the "jump from pistol pane back to rifle pane".
If you want me to post the actual macros, let me know here in this thread and I will try to remember to check when I get home and do that later tonight.
