Thread: ALR vs T21?

My alt is a MWS and I can always get better stats out of an ALR. I don't really know why.
Quality resources for the ALR are easier to come across. The T-21 requires some of the rarest materials out there; Gallinorian Rainbow Crystal Gemstone, Alantium Carbonate Ore, Ditanium Steel &Polonium Iron and all with high OQ & Cond. The ALR takes only Link-Steel Aluminum, Non-Ferrous Metal & Metal. An ALR can also take a scope, greatly adding to it's accuracy bonus. The ALR requires fewer materials and fewer comps, making it more cost effective to produce and store materials for.
When your talking about an enhanced weapon the ALR takes fewer tissues to make, so a smith can either take the extras for additional weapons from his investment, have extra shots at gettingthe power handlers perfect for your custom weapon, or actually make a master level rifle from a smaller tissue drop.
From the POV of the weaponsmith, there is no reason to ever make a T21as the game is todayunless your only concern is one of appearances. If you are hot for form over function, can Iinterest you in a DX6Rb or two? I can almost guarentee it'll be the best one on the block ![]()

A TRUE Master Rifleman sticks to the T21.
HELL YEAH plus i think the t-21 has some hiden mods i did more damage with my t-21 than my same template friend did with a laser rifle and his had 100 more damage than mine.
Actually the T21 has a higher minimum damage which does effect the final damage out come on your target.
I frimly believe that all the master cert weapons should have some sort of elemental damage or bonus of some sort to make them better/more desirabel than a noncert weapon.

Heck Yea they should! It is kind of lame when my melee friend is hitting for 100 pts less than me with a slightly weaker ALR.... Obviously I still have MRM skill shots, but I sure can't hit any where near as hard with melee as he can with a pike or barehands. I guess it is not that big of deal... everyone still loves to have a heavy-hitting MRM/MCM join their group.... Plus I can hit at 80m!!
