I'm hanging around until the Space Expansion comes out. If it's okay (no massive game destroying bugs, plzkthxbai), I'll stay in.


The SE sucks, I'm gone.


As for any Rifleman nerfs.....We'll see when we find out exactly what it is they're going to do.

Lets recant the pistoleer whines-


Why are BH's better with a pistol?


Why do I have to pick up smuggler?


Why do riflemen deal more damge quicker then us?


Why are Commandos so powerful?


Why did the Carbineers get fixed in publish 7 and we got nothing?


Why why why?

Oh and you heard Yachew, Commando is working as intended, don't ever ask for any fixes then. Keep that Shotty ass HAR and Kiteable FT because your comparing your profession with a profession that functions and has no bugs.

Sure, I have to finish up my English paper (really not that much) do a few readings, get a good way through my History Paper or at least start it, and get roughly 8 hours of sleep. Meaning that it would be impossible to do tonight, and likely very hard to accomplish tomorrow on top of what I need to do then but my wednesday is pretty clear. I think I can squeeze this in sometime in the late afternoon to evening time since I won't have much of anything to do after that and can be fully engrossed in a quid pro quo. Sound good to you? Or, of course, you could simply have this dialogue with some of the other forum regulars who would raise similiar points as my own. I tend to lurk during downtime/boredom so I could add a quip here or there possibly.


See, I'm one of the people that try to balance my real life responsibilities with the game rather then become so encorporated with aspects of the game that my physcial self is injured due to it.

Well, I've already given up one passion I had, Bio-Engineer. I loved that profession, we finally got fixed and what did the Devs do, nerf the CH so much that it made it unappealing to most players and my sales dropped to almost nothing and I didn't want to make non CH pets, that was no fun. So, I deleted that character and started fresh.


Now I am a rifleman/doctor and loving it. There are a few things I don't like like the insanely high ham cost for specials, but that can be worked with, but I noticed that we have a lot of specials, but only a handful are worth using really. Now if the nerf rumors become true I may stick with it for a while, but if the profession becomes more of a pain then fun I will be leaving because none of the other professions I've dabbled in really appeal to me so it's best not to waste my money on something I don't like anymore.

I don't know. I think I'd just beextremely dissapointed if they nerf us. First off to compete in PvP I have to be buffed a lot. Even with Muon I can drain my mind easily if I take a shot to the head. Not to mention our buffs are expensive. Not 7k creditbuffs from a Doctor that last for 3 hours. Our mind pool cannot be healed unless a CM is feeling extremely generous. I've only had my mind healed by one once or twice, andthat was by a good friend. Not only that, but if you look at some of the new guns from this publish, I'm scared. That Geo blaster.. Krayt enhanced.. smacking me aroundwith over 500 max damage. Ouch. I can't always afford to heal myself either. Only if I'm buffed well. Or if you get mind wounds, you're out of the game for a while unless you can heal yourself with /meditate. Instead of trying to get us nerfed, the nerf herders should be trying to get their profession working completely.


Why not work on dual wield for Pistoleers? I know Carbineers are getting some love this next Publish, but I'm sure they could also use a tiny decrease in HAM costs. Every profession needs some love. Nerfing the ones that work correctly are only going to make this game less fun.

Nerf our defenses to all hell thats fine. Take 0.5-1 off our damage multipliers, I can live with that too. Heck, I'd even stand here and take a 2.5x meleedamage multiplier again.3 second cap... don't think so.

BH's are better with a pistol? I don't know what's wrong with the pistoleers on your server, but on gorath a master pistoleer will destroy an expert BH.. just FYI..

It should be more balanced.. pistoleers,carbineers, riflemean should deal the same DPS.. pistoleers with lower dmg @ a faster speed.. riflemen with more dmg @ a lower speed.. etc


Commandos suck too, the only ones worth fighting are the ones wearing armor, haha.


Carbineers deserve to get fixed, I had to master it, it was terrible.

Can you give one good reason for this other than you say so? Is it so unfathonable to have classes that do different DPS but have other differences to ballance them. Ballance can in fact exist without everything being the same. Why can't rifleman do more damage but have crappy defenses both ranged melee and def vs. status change, pistols do less damage but have defenses out the wazoo and are not only hard to hit but are next to impossible to land status changes on, carbineers do moderate damage, have moderate defenses, but have a lot of status change attacks. So what we have is rifleman beats pistoleer, pistoleer beats carbineer, and carbineer beats rifleman.


Oh wait, you don't want to be beaten by anybody, you want your class to be the best, so that won't work will it.


What you suggest will make everybody pistoleers since its often more important to get that next shot off sooner than it is to hit harder. Also in order to give us the same DPS you would have to give us the same defenses, otherwise as it stands rifleman are at a serious disadvantage here since block may or may not work, we have decent ranged and melee defenses, but our status defenses suck to high heaven. So again, everybody goes to pistoleer since we do the same damage, but they have better defenses.


I don't want to be a pistoleer. I don't want to play a game where everybody is a pistoleer.

I for one am nt quitting. If they change rifleman and make it gay i will just pick up another proffession. the game is always changing, tahts just how it is. $ months ago wehn i started everyone was expert BH/Pistoleer. Then they were TKM, Now they are rifleman. Things jsut change. Rifleman should not be nerfed however, the only reason people think it should is because they suck at pvp and cant figure out how to win.

I'm staying as a Rifleman. It's what I signed up for, it's what I like doing. Not to mention I'm gonna enjoy being the only guy in Coronet with a Rifle again.


Oh and the big nerf is scheduled for Pub 8.

I spent my first 6 months in this game as a Pikemen, and eventually became one of the OMG EXPLOITER!! defense stackers(Master Pike, TKM + Fencer). After I fully realized and accepted that once defense stacking was fixed, I'd still be cannon fodder for ranged people, I dropped it all and went with the only ranged class that intrigued me, Riflemen. Plain and simple, I did my time as a borked combat class(Pikeman). They **edit** with Riflemen, and I'll be out the door.

Been rifle since the beginning (though the dlt20a only era like many others here).. i wont change.. no matter what the devs do.. might rethink what the best secondary class will be to compliment rifle however


The devs will have to pry my T21 out of my cold dead hands....
