Thread: Jedi no longer targetable while Cloaked...what about us!
Cover shot weak?
Seems to do a nice amount of damage for me.
8-12 shots seems a bit excessive. I think once they fix the /tar, cover and cover shot should be working as intended.

All they need to do is take the code they used for this and apply it to Cover too. Acke and the rest of the Rifleman community, I think we need to push for this to be given to us too.
I'm not complaining yet since they did change conceal to work with groups memebers nearby. I'll take that for now

Group members won't affect cover, but as far as I can tell, a covered rifleman is still targetable.

Realistically they shouldn't be targetable since both Force Cloak and Cover use the same code but the only difference is cloak drains force around people and cover will break when non-group members get within 20m of the rifleman who is under cover. Now if they could fix it to where conceal shot didn't have a 45% chance of breaking cover it wouldn't be all too bad.
HUH? Where did you get this info that conceal shot has a 45% chance of breaking cover??(is that pre-cu info?) Conceal shot has never broken cover for me, not once!

wouldnt other players, npcs, and creatures still affect u??

Thats what I expect as there is no reason to have it otherwise.

And my bike
I don't think a rifleman under cover should be targetable. I don't even think just because something wanders within 20m of a Rilfeman under cover it should autobreak either. A trained sniper, which basically a rifleman is, can stay in cover even with someone standing right over him if they are careful. In fact, I believe one of the final tests for a sniper is taking a shot from under 20m undetected.
So given that, a rifleman who is under cover should be able to stay that way and have maybe an action or mind cost if a target is within a certain distance of them. If the riflemantakes a shot at that range, it should have a chance of breaking depending on if the target is facing the rifleman and the range. I think this is a more realistic way to handle cover.
Exploit? Do you have a link to where this was declared such by a dev?

With the changes to turrets and using 80m arms an exploit, be nice if we could use cover to take turrets out at 64m....

unintended consequence. CSRs are sanctioning for it. Exploits are never declared explicitly as more people would then commit the act. (don't advertise)
