It's very comforting to me that there is someone else on these forums old enough to have seen that bit. I know people may have seen it in reruns, but I prefer to think they're as old as I am.

^_^ well am not old enough to have seen that bit when it first was made (1943) but I did see it in the 70's

yes im one of the few people left who still thinks Loony Toons is the pinicle of animation shown on TV. Road Runner owns as well.

ELMER SEASON!!! lol. that is the best episode of that sketch ever. i still remember that episode. bugs dresses up like a woman (when doesn't he) and at the end they tear downt eh duck/wabbit season signs, and then bugs tears one down, and the sign say "elmer season" ROFL.... ahhhh....that was great.

cross dressing bugs is classic. im sooooo disappointed that Cartoon Network barely shows any Merrie Melodies nowdays its all that unfunny Anime crap. how can they call it a cartoon if theres no Anvils or TNT or Boulders or Acme Products or other staples of proper cartoons!

That's why i went out and bought the Golden Collection I and II. Both have 4 discs of nothing but looney toons. Too bad i don't have a multiple disc DVD player, otherwise, i would order pizza, get a 12 pack of pepsi, and let the looneys loose!

It was still showing in the early/mid 90's when i was young enough to watch saturday morning cartoons, but still old enough hate most of the newer ones.
