Very well, but can scantly-clad female entertainers buff the crotch pool?

oke Kneecap pool then....shatter the caps...is painfull enough too
Oooh...Sorry to keep raining on the parade guys. The kneecap pool sounds like Cripplingshot, which would make it the domain of the Carbineer.
I think you guys are missing the most obvious one. We already both use and attack the mind pool. Thus, the precident is already set. If we need to change pools, we should be allowed to continue toattack the same pool that most affects us. That would be the "nerf pool."
I could live with a mind pool nerf. But in exchange, I want a new graphic disigned that shows your targets head exploding when you hit it with sniper shot. Or If you finish off a PvE target with Headshot3. Give me a gorey ending and your can turn the t21 into a super soaker. lol Actually, I want the T21 to be put back to blast dmg. and to be given it's prenerf dmg stats back. I'm sorry, but if a light saber can do X amount of dmg. something that is practically a model turrent should be able to punch a hole in our I could drive a landspeeder through. But that is just my 2 cents worth.
On a totally radical note. Given the whole "sniper" thing and our penchant for long range marksmen ship, it would not be a stretch of the imagination to give us the ability to dmg the condition of vehicle by half with a T21. This would also cause it to be unusable till it was repaired at a garage. Kinda like punching a BIG hole in the engine.
On an even more radical note, How about actually making our rifles dmg type consistent what the type of rifle it is?....Tusken anyone? (Gasp) Oh the horror!!! Actually allowing someone with a strickly ranged combat template other than Commando the ability to add something to fights against high end NPC's (Night Sisters)
Or better yet, maybe they could create an animation that if we incap someone with a headshot 3 they fall prone on their bellies. We get a point blank shot that has us putting a foot on their backs and firing 1 into the back of their heads.
Seriously though, tell me the reasoning behind someone with a big axe or vibrating stick being able to do better dmg. than a focused beam of extreme intensity energy being fired from a rifle, pistol or carbine. Armor was created to protect against melee style weapons. As firearms came to the fore, it was designed to stop projectile weapons. This caused the armor to have to be thicker or of a certain material to midigate damage from kenetic shock and to reduce the potential for penetration. Armor piercing was designed to over come this thickening of armor. Unless you created a suit that was composed of something that had the tuffness of diamond, energy weapons would only be truely ineffective against a force field style of personal protection. Most of the armor in the star wars universe did very little to actually help a person shot with an energy based weapon. Hense stormstroopers getting dropped by Hans pistol.

what about the ass pool.
I hit that one all the time when Shooting Krayt with Master Headshot.. Always hits them in the ass instead of the Head..
Let's not jump to conclusions here and get that whole "They are removing mind damage in the next publish" again. This has been talked to death, and the best indication is that they are talking about making Mind healable (more so than it is now), not that they are removing mind damage.

how about replace /shipershot with /Dev Castration shot. this is more advanced than low blow and will have the effect of makeing them more docile and willing to code correctly
I dunno. Docile would make them less obstinant about admitting their mistakes, but I doubt it'd make them code better.

Rifleman: What is the Development team’s vision for Rifleman with the upcoming combat system overhaul?
The vision for the rifleman hasn’t changed. They are still intended to be the long range snipers and that will stay the same. What will change is the mechanical balance - - especially with the HAM revamp portion of the CB. The new HAM system will be much more dynamic and as a result will change the focus on “mind hits”. I don’t know to what degree, but that is something that will surely be looked at.
It seems to me (not saying I'm right
) that while Mind hits will remain after the CB, the ease of targeting that pool will be significantly more difficult. The obvious solution is to make it 'more healable' (though CMs /mindheal kicks tons of you-know-what IMO
) but that really makes little sense being able to heal the pool you heal with.
What stood out for me in the reply was the part about the HAM revamp. My impression is that our specials (moreso than other professions) will significantly increase in cost. Perhaps the 'regular' specials will compare to, say Pistoleers or Carbineers, in terms of cost, but the Mind-specific ones could very well hurt us more than our targets ![]()
I really have faith in the Devs to do their job on this CB (/duck) and can't wait to check this new system out. For me, finding out the best way to use the system to shame FotMs (and whomever else
) is tons of fun. Making sure Rifleman is part of my template is a pre-requisite of course- no matter how 'bad' we are. Back in the 'good old days' I used to win nearly every ranged duel I took part in. Not that I was any good mind you, but we had to be smart to survive back then. That made being a successful Rifleman very rewarding which is why we could be proud despite our small number. (Remember the "Are there really only 23 of you guys?" post regarding MR anyone?
)
Last thing- it's always good to know what other professions are hoping to get from this CB. If you look at the CM question/answer it seems as if they will not get much of a damage 'nerf' in the rebalance, but instead a drastic change in range. Imagine us being the only class able to target themind pool (however difficult) from 64m. But that's just me speculating.
