Brian: it may be worth getting one as, for some reason, AR does not affect bleed damage. Therefore it is quite effective to use a T-21 to inflict mindshot2+1, then switch to your normal weapon.

So new T21s are still broken? Someone just reached master weaponsmith on Tempest and all the resources are around, but I'll hold off if it's not worth it.

Im not sure if the new T-21's will get fixed. However, they are so great with mindshot 1+2 that i highly recomend getting one even if they are doing 50-75% less damage in PvP and PvE (despite what Aldeon thinks).

Tek, why do you post everything towards hate to me? I agree using the T21, for MS 1 and 2 is excellent, Im not quite sure were I said it wasnt.


It is only a problem, when someone wears armor, or a creature had an AR rating, wich most high levels do.

Amen Tek, its good to see a non-yesman. Correspondents arent always correct.


I just wanna know how AR is not a problem in PvP, my AR2 piercing laser rifle does MORE damage than my currently AR0 piercing T21. Seems like its working quite well to me, and regardless, fixing AR in PvE would be at the bottom of my list. Where are you getting this data from Aldeon?

Also, now that damage in PvP is reduced by 75%, I rarely see anyone not wearing armor.

OK heres what I mean by this, it has been brought up in this forum alone a hundred times, I assumed you would all know what I meant.


When a player has no armor on, all weapons act as AR0, therefore the T21 is actually working fine. (compared to other weapons) So you will shoot someone with no armor with a AR1 or AR2 weapons ,expecting bonuses, but you will receive none. Also, if a mob, does not have the type of resists listed that the weapons does it will act as AR0. For example, if a mob has no energy resists, or energ weakness, a E11(AR2) will receive no bonuses.


This is also working with armor that doesnt have energy resists. An E11, will receive no bonuses.


The reason its a huge issue in PvE, is becuase mobs will have energy resists (T21 damage type) Therefore making it worthless compared to other weapons. (E11 or Laser Rifle)


What Im saying its not that big of an issue in PvP, but it is in PvE. So until they fix the AR problems, fixing the T21 wont help muchin PvP, but fixing it is a must in PvE.


Make myself clear enough, or further explanation needed?

Dont listen to him. Against an un-armored target you will do around 50% more damage with AP:2 than you would with AP:0. Im assuming that with AP:3 you would do 75% more damage against an un armored target. This has beenproven time after time ina dozen threads by comparingchat log damageto overhead damage.


Therefore your T-21 is doing between 50-75% LESS damage in un-armorered PvP than it would be doing if it had AP:3.


I dont know what the forumals are for armored PvP but since it seems the overhead damage with my DLT20a (AP:0) is 50% of what the combat message says, and since my laser rifle (AR:2) is doing FULL damage to armored targets, then it would be logical to assume that your doing 50% less damage against armored targets. Again, this is all based on PROVEN statistics gotten by comparing chat log damage to overhead damage when using different AP level weapons.




Thats where the "confusion" came from. You posted that the AP=0 on the T-21 wasnt a big issue due to AR being broken. I wrote to fix the "confusion" you might have created because of that mis-leading information.


Again, not a flame.. just wanted to make sure people didnt believe what you wrote.

OK I just tested this with my E11, AR is still not working on un-armored people.
