Well, you can't balance anything if thousands of players still have their 90% comp and ridiculous weaponry... It would just be anyone that just started the game would need to buy the "weaker" equipment and therefore would NEVER pay to play the game because they would stand no chance against everyone else. Come on guys, think about it
.
If the CURB does in fact change the stats on weaponry (it may just change the way players interact with said weaponry), then they will need to remove these items. End of story.

You apparently missed the CURB details that were posted a few weeks ago when they announced changes to the armor system.
Because of this change, ALL weapons are going to have to be balanced against the new system.

I do have them... but you clearly missed my point and instead are trying to assert your own perceptions of your 'uberness' im sure
. Read the post please. I am saying that if they are changing the damages and stats of weapons ALL current weapons will be changed, whether you "worked hard" for your weapons or whatever.
We all work hard. But I would prefer a more balanced system. I will get over it. I hope you can too.

Someone mentione dthat loot and money are kept in the hands of a precious few.... The single most profitable area of the entire game, the krayt Graveyard is FULL of Dragons...
If you are so adverse to these "Uber weapons", and them outdamaging you, here's a seriously novel idea, find a friend. Outdamage me. Oh, why won't you do this? Because you don't wnat to split loot. Even I hunt in groups in the Graveyard, mor ekills, more friends, and it's a better experience. Try it sometime instead of complaining that one person outdamages you by yourself on the forums.
Tried that and it didnt work. some of these weapons are so overpowered that one person can outdamage a group of 5 or 6 people.

My guild and I hunt krayt's frequently and we have run into very few kill stealers because frankly there are so many dragons (at least after server reset, but after 16-20hrs there are no dragons anymore anyhow). There are about 2-5 of us that hunt and we frequently outdamage anyone that tries to steal from us. I am the only riflemen and I don't use one of those 2500 damage monsters, just a modest good rifle. If you are soloing them, then you also run the risk of being outdamaged, but if your ina group you trust, you will all get good loot because of the faster kill rate and its much harder to outdamage you. If someone is trying, do what we do... drag the krayt over to the person trying to outdamage you until it starts to aggro them
. We have gotten many a killstealer db'ed using that trick. Even better if you are fighting two.

Campign is different than having an uber weapon, afk macroes are a FAR different thing than owning a weapon you worked for.... fix the camping, not people's treasures. On the same note, how would you like it if after a credit dupe scandal, if they didn't ban the involved, but simply nerfed the bank accounts of the rich?
if you read my post, i didn't so much have a problem with the uber weapons, it is the fact that now, with ADKs, there is no RISK in using them!!! take away ADKs and you'll never hear me complain.

Are you using an ADK on anything?
Thank you, that's all I have for today.

and the outdmg myth is sooo untrue, even w/ a 2700 max hammer, i have a hard time outdmging 3 people. With a Jedi, I do farrrr better in outdamaging just spamming Dervish 2. Why not nerf them back to Padi eh?

Who's to say exactly what will happen. However in the reasoning of a complete combat balance more will be required than just a few changes here and there. It only seems reasonable to think that they will bring everything into balance so that we will all be on a so called "even playing field". If this means changing our current weapons then so be it. To all those that say they better not change their uber weapon you better prepare for the fact that it's not completely impossible. We all want everything to be balanced in combat so that we don't have these so called "stackers", "uber" & "FOTM" people running around like we do now. This even includes those that have or can afford those weapons that cost those rediculous millions of dollars that only powergamers seem to obtain. In the long run player combat is going to change and it will be for the better. Prepare for the worse and then whatever happens you will never be completely disappointed.

Runobot wrote:I am not sure what you are saying here. Are you indicating our "uber" weapons will be nerfed to the power of common weapons? They may have said all weapons will be balanced within the new system, but that doesn't mean weapons are getting nerfed.
What I mean is, they (I think TH) definitely indicated that a weapon that is "uber" (I hate that word) now, will still be "uber" compared to other weapons after the CU.
A good weapon now will still be good post CURB.
However, from This Page it would appear that armor and damage are being completely overhauled. From my understanding there will be no more armor piercing values, just modes - so no more AP3.
If they are making this change then they will have to change every weapon to fit the new system. An exceptional weapon will still be exceptional, but it will not always beat a crafted T21 set to a different damage mode against the new armor types.

they will have to get over it, because the number of people in possesion of mentioned weapons is exponetially smaller than the rest of us. and they're weapons give them exponentially greater power.
BUTwith SOE's record, the CSRs who are buddies with or *cough*relatives*cough* of certain players will probably just let those weapons slip by. they'lljust change thier AP and leave the damage alone. I can see this happening, and it most likely will.
2500dmg T21s aren't soo bad except with the lovely ADKs that are now everywhere, these weapons will be camping POI's until the end of time, continually keeping all the power/loot/money in the hands of the chosen few.
