HEY!! This happens to me too .. i go and prone.. Cover and conseal and .. (wrong state) ?? w t f ! lol
Anyhoo, when it does work im sure it will look cool to be partially transluscent and off the map

This is false. I group all the time and cover snipe, you must put some space (im guessing at least 20m) between you and your groupmates though, as well as npcs and such.
