well, solo, it sounds like this will be great for fighting PvE.

but definitely would not use it one on one in PvP because players will be smart enough to follow the bolts, even the dumb ones, it will just take them longer.

No clue how effective the weapon will be at this point, or if the shot animation has been changed, but this is one of the reasons I built up a nice Tusken. That Jedi I'm pelting with it doesn't have a bright green bolt to follow back to me.

The Berzerker's shot animationisn't all that noticeable in heavy combat either...

Ackehece, if it's all server-side, then I guess that solves that problem. I wonder, however, what the unintended consequences of moving all that data server-side will be, given that the current Live environment is already straining the capacity of the servers during peak times...

well they just did a huge update on the ai engine and the graphics engine to lighten load (the update also added the new draw distances etc...)

and they replace all the servers with bigger gruntier systems about3 months ago. Population is up again.

So overall I would think it almost balances out.. I get higher sustained framerates now though my max framerate is lessened.

probably why the moving conceal on rangers has never been implemented yet -server lag- easier to track a prone object that moves 1m/s then a standing object that mvoes 5m/s

I would say /cover would be rather devestating in PVP if correctly done. If you and a few others can catch some other people off guard, go into /cover so you go off of radar. The rest of the group goes into PVP, and you should be able to shoot and add your damage to theirs.

Well, ackehece, please ask the developershow they plan to counterthe inevitable "anti-cover radar hack."

In every game where players have been able to 'drop off the radar' someone has programmed a hack that allows the user to see and target these 'invisible' players. That's why the Radar was given to us in the first place, that's why developers have said in the past that players would *not* be receiving this ability...

I guess the new developers didn't get briefed on this issue.

I'm assuming that once you disappear from radar, the only way to target you would be to do it manually with the mouse. Am I the only one who sees new potential for all those camo clothes tailors can make?

As was stated before cover is kind of hard to test right now against the NPC's, simply because were not very good at it. Hopefully later on when we are certed for it, it will work much better against NPC's.

Well actually you stay covered while you CRAWL. So you could Fire 2 or 3 Nice damage shots Then crawl away from where you were then Fire again. If you were a BH. You would not be seen on the radar by the jedi. So you could fire on him them when he turs around you would have stopped firing and moved away.

that reminds me - we need to test if we can peace while undercover, would be bad if we could not. We don'tkeep firing and give away our location -ICK!

There is no /peace anymore. Just de-select your default attack. If the mobs looses agro on you, your peaced.
