yo. tell me how to get this rifle?

yo. Go to the Huff Darklighter estate on Tatooine and talk to his guard to start the quest. You end up doing a lot of stuff for Borvo the Hutt and some CorSec fellas I believe. Anyways, the last part is Borvo giving you the Tusken King rifle which you are supposed to return to Huff in exchange for 'A Polished Krayt Skull'. Of course, you're welcome to just keep the rifle for yourself

The devs have stated that kinetic damage is a reserved damage type for melee combatants so don't expect them to ever ever certify the tuskan king rifle.

That was a fairly stupid idea that someone had.
Projectile weapons do kinetic damage. The tusken rifle is a projectile weapon, therefore it should do kinetic damage. Period.
Maybe this will get changed in the combat nerf... er rebalance...

exactly, but reminds me of a comment someone made to me the first month or so in-game. i was trying to remember the name of the pistol that does kinetic damage (striker pistol) and asked somebody. they laughed at me and said 'what kind of gun would do kinetic damage?', to which i responded 'uhh, one that fires bullets'

he shut up pretty quick

is there not a rifle that does kinetic damage that was available is the perosn other than Sean Treadwell won in the Bestine election? I read something about it a few weeks ago - named llidium rifle or something similar? Is that just a rumor or can anyone verify it?

unfortunately not true - it is yet again a energy rifle. it was kinetic for about 2 days and then was changed to energy.

Uh - you do know we can solo krayts just as easily? Only maybe 4 things in the entire universe we can not solo (in fact can not damage at all...Just becuase we do not have kinetic damage does not mean we are weak

I know folks think this is a dead horse but I like beating on it. What is does do is make a group into a solo meleer and spectators. It DOES NOT in fact forceTHIS rifleman to find a meleer to group with, I go hunt other stuff. Then there is that whole "continuty / realism" issue.Real dumb, imho, for them to even try this...
