I think people are misunderstanding what I am looking for out of this post...
I know what composite is... I have a decent set...
I also know what Ubese is and understand the lower costs associated with it.
I know what buffs are... Brandy, Canape, Brain pudding, or whatever flavor iterests us at the moment....
I do not know what the gear is that one should be looking for which is best suited for a rifleman? IE: those full length cloaks, the pilot type helms, etc etc etc.... It would be nice to be able to switch armor in and out as needed without having buffs on whenever wanting to repair or whatever other reason.
THanks much for the info so far, and dialogue.... it is appreciated.

Hmmm, maybe I got lost, but now it sounds like you want to know what clothes are good for Riflemen? There are BE clothes that give more defense to Stun/Warcy/Bleeding etc...is this what you want to know more about? If you need to know how to lookstylish as a Rifleman, I can help with that too

Ultimately it has been about what gear most riflemen are wearing? As, said, I know what composite and Ubese are.... and the food and drink type buffs...
Functionality and fashion would be my concern and what I should look for... BE clothing is a good start... I appreciate your comment as such....
thank you

Well I am not wearing anything rifleman-related yet, though I made master recently. My stuff is all +maskscent and +taming as I am going for master CH too. So, the rare melee situations usually result in good ole clone center. (Yes, I know, pretty useless post)...

Ok.....
For my normal 'Riflewoman look', I have these: Black Gunman's Duster, Black Light Bustier, Black Infiltrator Leggings, Black Boots(forget the exact name, but the ones that go furthest up on your legs
), a nice matching necklace of your choice and Black 'Tipless' Gloves. (Note: They aren't tipless as they should be
so to pull this off, have your Tailor color the tips to match your skin color. It works well enough.)
If you're a male, the necklace may notbe neccessary and the Bustier would need to be switched for a BlackUbese shirt.(I have both, but prefer the Bustier since it looks better
). The Ubese shirt is also good since it saves the decay on your SEAs. There is also a standard looking shirt the proper name of which escapes me, but it's one of the shirts the BE clothing additions can be added to(not all clothes can take BE enhancements). This would also be black and the one I have adds +17 def vs Stun/+17 def. vs something else(I forget- ack!
). The Tailor FAQwill describewhat enhancements can be added, in what combinations they come, andin which clothes they may be placed. You'll have to decide for yourself which combinations are best for what you do- you'll be limited to two enhancements per item of clothing.
With the example I provided, I find that white also works nice if you prefer it to black. Ittends to look odd in my opinion, but it's quite unique and you'll definitely stand out
If you go that route, switch the 'Tipless' Gloves forWhite Cold Weather Gloves. The other items will transist nicely except for the bustier/shirt. Again, I forget which one I exactly have in this case, but the Ubese shirt will do just fine(I believe the can come in white). Sorry for all the 'I forget's, I've not been in-game recently enough to recall all the exact names.
I'll add another nice guide for you in a minute. It's a *bit* Rebel-specific, but good nonetheless.
If you don't think any of this works for ya, lemme know- I'll try to help you work something else out. I think most of my other outfits are quite female-specific, so the dresses won't really do much for you(assuming you're male
) I'll start thinking about what else I have at home you may benefit from

Well if your just PVE u can get buffed, use brandy, get 80-90% kenetic armor then just stand in the spawn. Dont need to use specials, just stand there and let your rifle do the work, the only problem is that this is no fun.

We females like to look our best.
Another possibility in combining function with form is Tantel armor. Tantel comes in a tailor's selection of colors. It is very light on the HAM compared to composite or ubese and offers stun protection within its base resists. While far short of 80% base resists of composite, a good effectiveness slice on good Tantel should get you to around 40% base (again this includes stun resistance). Helm, chest, and boots are the only pieces that can be made. Twi'leks cannot wear the helm.
That being said, I wear a BE enhanced yellow gold Twi'lek head wrap with +17 stun and +4 melee. Either a black or a yellow gold form fitting undershirt also BE enhanced as above, a yellow gold Tantel chest (all Tantel comes with a silver center piece on the chest), Yellow gold and black camos again BE enhanced, black Tantel boots, and black Ubese gloves (studded spikes on the back...fingers exposed).
A large range of color combinations are possible with Tantel using black or possibly brown as the accent color as the boots and glovesare so limited and thus limit the accent range to these. So you can select red/black,green/black, blue/black, yellow/black, and in all manner of shades. They are all possible with Tantel.I find the straight black look all to common. With Tantel you stand out.It is not uncommon for people to ask me what type of armor I am wearing as it isseldom seen.
The downside is that very few armorsmiths take note of it, so they have not been gathering the specific resources needed to make a high quality product. I do that gathering myself and provide them with good materials so I can get them to make me an armor I can get sliced up to 40% resists.

I don't play with doctor buffs unless I'm hunting nightstisters, it's very rare that I'm in composite and I don't own any padded.
My typical setup is Ubese Jacket/Pants both with encumbrance slice, and the rest is bone armor enhanced with kinetic resist. Most of the time my bone helmetstays off. Ieat artisan foods to help my regen.
If you'reonly going against PvE stuff that hits with kinetic, you can't go wrong with advanced mabari, the encumbrance is uber low...good luck getting an armorsmith to make you some though. Advanced chitin hasexcellent kinetic resist also, though a little heavier than mabari.
Wearing no armor is plain dumb though.

Thanks for the suggestions, though, why is it hard to get them to make the armor Mab armor?

I've had nothing but problems getting amorsmiths to make mabari for me. They don't collect the resources for it, and if they can't make lots of money from it they don't want to do it.

Good pts. Hopefully with the revamp everyone won't look like a power ranger no matter what their profession is.
