Maybe in PvP, but in PvE I see a big difference between the damage in the combat spam and the actual damage done to the creature when using an armor piercing weapon.


On some mobs there is absolutely no difference, but onmost there is.

Decreasing the effectiveness of armor does increase damage. Read the mini-manual on armor in the Advanced Manuals section. It's very informative.
