lol... what a dumbass.. anyways... with my master rifleman title up I get /tells for credits all the time. Nothing as funny or stupid as some of you guys have gottnen. Obviosly most of these people are first time MMO players..They dont get the concept that we had to work damn hard for our money . (most of us, myslef included) and are not freely giving it away to random joe asking for some cash because he's to lazy (or ignorant) to go get some for himself..
sometimes i'm in a good mood and I tip them 10k and they never talk to be again, but whatever.

Hmm...this sounds like a fun little thread. I haven't had that many encounters with out-and-out idiots, but I did havea guy accuse me of being a liar once.
He went around asking "Where can I buy a lightsaber." Everyone ignored him (Cantina, Mos Eisley). I figured I'd try to help him out and when I told him that you can't buy them, and that Jedi have to craft them, he naturally wanted to know how to become a Jedi. So, I told him that you had to basically master professions until you unlocked the FSCS (The Holocrons had just gone offline). I went on to add that, to the best of my knowledge, you can't actuallyuse your unlockedJedi until the next major publish. He started freaking out and screaming and calling me a liar; saying that I was a Jedi and just didn't want him to become one!
The other amusing thing is the amount of people who ask for used rifles (I've had this happen as well), yet they're standing in Coronet as it's being spammed with ads for weapons shops all claiming low prices.
I'm not a HELPER, but I don't mind helping out other players...newbs and vets...however I have my limits. When people see you with Composite armor and are like..."you have money, buy me a suit"...that's just ignorant. My guildies and some good friends on the server helped me get started with a cashflow, but I earned the rest...it's not that hard to do.

I've been in the game about two weeks now. I did beta for a while but wasn't that impressed at the time. So anyway, on my third day in the game I had managed to get a few pieces of bone armor from the bazaar and a DLT20a after doing countless missions. I get asked by three people in one day if I have any nice stuff I can "give" them. People who have been playing for a few weeks asking someone who has only been in the game a few days to give them stuff. Umm No. Play the game and earn your own way like most everyone else.

wow i've never ever had anything like this, closest i had was a bran new noob who i helped a bit and asked me for some credits, but even he was cool about it, joking and saying only kidding i dont like to beg and things like that, you all must be really un-lucky or have sucky servers or something.

Usually if someone asks me for money, it goes like this....
Panhandler: Can I have some credits?
Me: Sure but I need your help.
Panhandler: what?
Me: I got killed by a meatlump and he took all of my money, he's just outside town. If you kill him you can have half of my money he has.

I haven't got any stupid tells lately other than, "Can I train you"? I had a few of the can you give me an extra uber rifle. To which I said go buy your own and get it sliced. They said something derogatory about slicing so I ignored them. For some reasonwhen I had the "Gunner" tag up poeple would ask me to train them in Scout. I really dunno why either. The funniest ones were when a few persons or so would ask me where to get a good rifle at and I would direct them to a Weaponsmith and they say "No I am in their shop. Their guns aren't good." And these WS would be where I just got some nice rifles. I think some people just have problems

Usually, when I'm around the big starports (Coronet, Theed, Mining Outpost) I'll equip a spraystick, and instantly get about 4-5 tells from people asking me if I'm a jedi.

Me: "I had to suffocate it first so it wouldn't scream.."
Me: "It was exciting though.. could have used a bit of salt"
Me: "I know.. it sounds kind of morbid.. eating a baby without salt, but I didn't have any on me at the time.."
Me: "I would seriously recommend bringing along a bib, btw"
Beggar: "dood shut the hell up plz"
Me: "So... when are you going to give me those credits?"
Me: "I really had my eye on a nice rifle in the store.."
Me: "..and I really appreciate your help.. it's nice to see there are nice folks left in the game
