Thread: The Best Rifleman Template

I really like the character I have made, sort of the true woodsman. I am going to have master rifleman, along with Master Scout and Ranger with the tracking tree, this allows you to find certain targets you know to be usually overt and snipe them. Then I have Creature Handler (3/2/0/3) so i can have two grauls. Really powerful and fun.
sorry to burst your bubble, but CH 3/2/0/3 can only call one mauler, just like 3/2/0/0. the +1 pet out doesn't let you have two of anything you could control one of before, it lets you have 2 pets with total combined level = your max number of pet levels mod. you need to be MASTER CH to use 2 maulers.
my rifleman template is Master Rifleman, Master Ranger, though I'm thinking about changing that since I don't think they'll ever make camo work in conjunction with concealshot/startleshot at all. (even though EVERYBODY agrees that it just makes sense, but when have devs ever listened to riflemen on ANYTHING?)
Is anyone going rifleman/doc? If so, what is your template for doc, i want MM and Master Rifleman so how much should i get in doc to self buff?
Thanks

I'm wondering why you bothered with master marksman, I mean, your base firing speed has to be more than 20s to not max at 1s at master rifleman, so that extra +5 to rifle speed probably isn't really gonna see any benefit, and the accuracy bonus just doesn't seem like it is good enough to warrant the skillpoints.
dunno, I could be wrong. any master rifleman wanna chime in? are there any specials you can't do at 1s speed?

If you can handle having no scout you could get MM, MRM and 0/4/3/0 Doc.
I'm going MRM and 2/4/3/0 doc as I think I can live without MM.
i'm one of those crazy mofo's who's gonna do away with scout (i'll cry, until mounts -hopefully).
i'm doing the Human, Master Marskman, master rifle, novice doctor to buff myself, thing. my doc stats will be at least 0-2-4-0 (i have guild mates who can make awesome buffs for me to apply to myself, so that works well). i've migrated all stats to mind, so my mind looks like 1010, 1075 focus, 915 will (i think that's it..). i can spam a lot more specials then my old setup of 1000, 700, 600. workin well so far!
i don't quite have my doctor skills up yet, so i haven't tried much pvp since my stat migration. i have done some duels, with only 400 health and action, and i've still won, by some miraculous favor of the dieties. heh
and master marksman does make quite a difference to master rifle. that +5 is the difference between a 2 second delay on strafe2 and somethin like 1.3 seconds. (i've never timed it, butmycombat spam is pretty much green green green green red green green green whitegreen green white green... lol.
it's fast. i've hadMM since i got MRM, and i can't give it up. no scout skills will sucka bit though
Marksman: Rifle 4, Support 4
Medic: Master
Rifleman: Master
Doctor: 2/2/4/0
Combat Medic: 2/0/0/4
I have just gone the doctor/rifleman route right now, but I need some change... not too much though I love rifleman too much, doctor too
Please tell me whether or not you like this template, it doesnt really stress defenses but it works good for PvE and PvP. I can poison and disease, buff myself with D buffs, and cure poison. Im thinking I may drop the ability to cure poison and the ability to apply diseases and only go with being able to apply poisons, So I can keep Novice Scout and be able to collect hide for TCON's master armorsmith.
I'm going for Master Rifleman and Master Pikeman, I'll have to think about what other things to dump my skill points into, Im also a medic but I dont plan on doing much for that.
When the space expansion comes out though, Im going to suddenly forget the other stuff and become a master pilot ![]()
So you don't need the doc skills that require med crafting xp to use buffs? Everyone is saying go like 2/4/4/0 or something like that but never any points in the last doc skill. I thought this was the one that gave you certs to use buffs....I'm obviously wrong so could someone please explain this to me?

The last line is the crafting bit, so without it you can't make your ownenhance packs, you have to buy them or have a friend craft them for you.
The 3rd line is the one that gives you medical use skill which determines whatpacks you can use. I think with 0/2/3/0 you can buff with enhance Ds.
I've gone 2/4/3/0. This lets me cure poison / buff well and res / use enhance Ds / Buy my enhance packs.
Ah. That helps a lot thanks.
