You are forgiven, my child. ![]()
Pistoleer is a powerful profession, but I don't think it fits with SL. As an SL, you must be a little distance away from the heat of the battle, so that you can better asses the situation provide support.
I suggest either rifleman or carabeener. If you will master the profession, go rifle. If you are only going to dable, go carbine.
The rifle grind it slow and painful, but Master is a whole different ballgame.
urm.. i think he was asking about rifleman, not squadleader mate ![]()
I like TKA personnally. the meditate line is great for solo'ing.. and getting to master rifle requires a fair amount of that.. plus it has nice defense mods and some KD, Dizzy, & mindpool attacks for when the target gets too close..
I'm goin Doc with Rifleman, I was wonder what was best to do with Doc cause i can't master it and keep MM.
Thanks

1/0/2/1 Rifleman, 0/0/1/0 Doc, Master Medic, Master Marksman on Valcyn
I'm going Mater Rifleman, Master Scout, and Master CH (with just a smidge of Medic skills on the side). To do this, I think I need to drop some or all of the 4th Marksman tree (0-0-0-4). Anyone see any major drawbacks of dropping that Marksman tree?

well pistol hits health with body shots and bleeds health with healthshots while rifles hit mind with headshots and bleed mind with mindshots. So you're better off sticking to one gun.. well, rifles get some strong random pool attacks (random pool attacks hit health most of the time, cuz the body is the biggest target) such as flushingshot2, so I guess you could start off with that and switch to pistol when they close, but then you'll end up getting much more pistol XP...
pistols are better than rifles anyway
Medic skills always work though, as a rifleman your mind primary and secondary stats are already pretty bulked up because of the mind drain from firing rifles so you wont get hit as hard in the mind when using stims to heal yourself.
CH skills allow you to have pets, which remove the riflemans primary advantage: nonexistant combat ability at close range. Your pet can tank for you, and while it may take some of your XP you will be able to kill many more mobs that are much stronger than you without any real risk. Personally I think CH is a **edit** profession that turns the game into poke-mon and makes XP really easy... yet it is required for high level encounters and is quite effective.
I am also trying to squeeze in combat medic with my rifle character.. get some mind poisons going to couple with headshots.... cause a bit of grieif to those **edit**ing BHs

warning shot and suppression fire are very usefull... but if you're CH you wont find yourself over your head because your pet will always take the beating for you, so you can drop all of it and it wont effect you.
heh im trying something way different..
