I hunt PVE with a master bh, a Commando and a Master Pistol. What we have found as a group is that if we are fighting anything with medium or heavy armor and resistances I will always do the most dmg. If the creature has light or no armor The Commando and BH can both do more dmg than me. The Master Pistol rarely gets the most dmg in either case, but is almost completely worthless shooting Kryat and FS NPC's The 80% resist all FS NPC's just laugh at him

Creatures with Heavy armor make us shine, but to say we are the best dmg dealers in the game is taking it too far. I still wouldn't give up my rifle though.
