Thread: Why Rifleman is the greatest Profession in the Game
Answer: Because when I got Krayt hunting and am with my CH friend, no one can out damage me. I was in a group with just my friend and we out damaged groups of 4 or more. Everytime the Krayt fell the loot went to us. I spam HS3 with a good mind buff, mulon gold, and mind food. I have racked up more tissues and pearls in two days than you can imagine. Rifleman=max damage output in game
Sigh...
The reason rifleman is the greatest profession, for me, isn't that we get to do insane damage or that we're greatly accurate. It isn't even that we have the infamous T21. The reason I like it so much is that I love the image that carrying a freaking big gun carries with it. I was a rifleman when I thought we were the weakest profession out there (ahh, the good old days of me believing forum people), yet stuck with it.
The whole aura of being a sniper is cool. Attacking from a long way off, surprising your prey is an awesome M.O.
side note------i sucked until i was master. speed is too slow. but, i promise its worth it. it may take forever but now im sure its the most underrated profession in the game. it takes FOREVER to reach master, but its worth it. have fun peeps, but dont be an a$$ and steal peoples loot. just because you can with your high damage, doesnt mean you should.

Also I can take down a Giant Dune Kimo in a matter of seconds, nobody else(except maybe another master rifleman) can steal a Kimo from me.
i miss 1 shotting mass groups of people with strafe 2..
but i had my fun for sometime since i was master 3 weeks after launch. ![]()
still an amazing prof.
when you tals about outdamaging other groups while Krayt hunting, i seriously hope you are not a professional kill stealer, because this is just unfair towards the others ... and if this WOULD be the case (I'm not saying it is) then in the long run everyone will hate us for something only a few of us really do

I can tell you from first hand experience that Master TKA is markedly better then 4-4-4-4 in TKA.
Having said that, I can't wait until I'm TKM/MRM.
Out of curiousity, how are MRM fairing against the new uber template master fencer/ master pistoleer?
lol. if you would read my post about i specifically say, DONT STEAL PEOPLES KILLS.
anyway, i was outdamage by a group of three last night. it hurt my ego. it was a Battlemaster and two TKA's, although they werent master
The battlmaster was Timzai, and we switched off on kills. just want to give a shout out that hes a quality player. enjoyed the tag team!

if your ranger and you want to get some krayt loot, send me a tell.....im on lowca
The class that actually takes me out the most is TKM/master brawler. the 20m lunge2 range usually puts me flat on my butt.
But seriously, anyone who has mastered 2 combat professions will usually win over someone who has mastered only 1. (even BH) This assumes equal quality players, which is not always the case.
In PvP, I find that I am a terror right up until i draw too much attention. I have had fights whereI was able to incap an entire group in about 10 seconds. Of course that same group got me several times later in the fight, I would get one and then they all took me down. It is about both skill, abilities and teamwork. Riflemen have the abilities, players have the skill, and teamwork is rare.
In PvE, rifle is the way to go. I find i can outdamage most players, even if they have 2-3 at-st over a short period of time. (depends on mind) I do want to say that as a comunity, we need to avoid yeilding to the temptation to kill steal. Most players will respect our abilities if we are not jerks about it. But just start a rash of kill stealing and the nerf cries will escalate fast.
Hats off to all who have endured the grind, and a hang on to those in the middle of it.
Nope it's the best profession because being a Master Sharpshooter actually means something, all other profession when you master i'ts no better than being 4-4-4-4.
But yes the greatest PVE combo is by far Master Sharpshooter/CH.
