Rifleman are not overpowered, if u have ever known or trained with a sniper in RL u would know, they are not to be messed with.

Dodge and Counterattack stop 100% of incoming damage whereas Block stops 50%. When you're getting hit for 3k-4k damage, it kinda adds up...genius. There's one advantage. I can name more. Just ask.

Dodge and Counter-attack stop 100% of incomming attacks eh? Kinda confuses me how a Pistoleer could ever die if that happened.

Because Dodge doesn't work all of the time? When it does, it stops 100% of the damage from that attack. Hard to believe you seem this uneducated about the combat system...

EDIT: Not that you asked for it, but here's another advantage Riflemen don't have. Commandos(and Swordsmen ) can deal Blast damage. The only damage type that is better to have is Lightsaber. Not that we're asking for it. Just letting you know

Oh sorry I misread the "damage" part. If your going to argue riflemen has worse defenses then you also have to consider they have more then double as much melee/ranged defense then Carbineer or Pistoleer.......

Swordsman: Kinetic & Blast

Rifleman: Energy, Acid, Heat, Cold, & Stun (Heavy AP as well)

Geez I wonder who wins.... let alone who's much faster then the other.

I didn't say we have worse defenses, just that our secondary defense(Block) isn't exactly coveted. In general, our defenses are very nice.

Another one for your list: BHs can target Mind at the cost of Health and Action. For a Rifleman to target Mind, we have to use Mind(you know- that unhealable pool). Riflemen can target the Mind pool specifically or use random pool shots. There is no way for us to target Health or Action specifically. Oops, guess that's two for the list

Heat, Cold, and Stun are all but worthless in PvE. Heavy AP you say? We have one Heavy AP weapon. Commandos have two or three. Our speed? Comes from tapes. Our +90 rifle speed at MR is not that impressive if you use the best specials.

A Swordsman is twice as slow as a Master Rifleman and needs +21 in tapes to cap while a rifleman needs +7. Commandos have heavy AP but shoot it extremely slowly and at a huge cost (expendable weapons). Face it, Riflemen rule all in this game, Highest Damage, Best Defenses, Heavy AP, Most Varied Damage Types, & Ability to target mind. Oh and mind costs? Have you ever heard of Ahrisa, Vagnerian Canape, or Vasarian Brandy>?

Now you're comparing Rifleman to Swordsman. Originally you asked for one advantage another ranged profession has over Riflemen. I take this to mean you're finished here.

There is no dispute as to which professions are the 'easiest' in this current combat system. Rifleman beats out Swordsman there. Conversely, at launch, Swordsman was much better than Rifleman. Moreso than Rifleman is than Swordsman now. If the positions of our professions was switched, you wouldn't be here now would you? Think about that next time you invite yourself into another profession's forum and tell them they need to be nerfed. If Swordsman was the best, would you be asking that the Devs nerf you?

And we didn't have any of the foods/drinks you mentioned until fairly recently. Which Rifleman isn't quite so 'uber' without. Do Swordsmen need this stuff to fight? Many Riflemen do and not all of them are rich enough to afford it. Unless you know someone who gives away free Mind food and drink.

i'm a Rifleman/CM, and I found a spawn ofa Canyon and a Juvi Krayt. I killed my Canyon before 2 TKM's and a Fencerkilled their little Juvi.

I would definately use Canape since it gets both Focus and Willpower.

You will get hit the mind many times, you'll need the the extra mind regen(Willpower), I've tried the other food and I had to jump on my swoop twice(which i don't like to do)

I just keep mind poison, minddisease, and bleeds on them, spam head shot 3 and heal yourself when needed.

btw, first time i did this i didn't even need entertainer buffs they make it so much easier though
