U say that your the best PvPer on your server, i don´t doubt that ..

But ibet that if u meet a skilled combat medic 1v1 ..

Let´s Say MRM/MCM - U will die eventually ... On my server Chimarra we have 1400 tick poisen, we stack the **edit** on ppl and they die withhin 10 to 20 seconds ...

Of course if u allways hunt with a Nice Doctor your might have a chance ... But seriosly, u need Doc else your dead meat , cause CMs are very powerfull ..

just wanted to hear how u do it, since you think your the best pvper plz explain hehe

A smart Doc + "insert choice combat profession here"is unbeatable.

WOW. Im gonna get that template. Good advice....

This exact question is the one I've been killing myself over... I guess that answers MY question. Any other opinions? I'd hate to ee this thread sink into the back pages.....

I am a Rifleman/TKA and I really like it. I use my rifle for almost all PvP I do, and I usually do PvP in larger scale battles. I find in PvP using my ranged profession is better than using melee just because of the distance you can maintain from your enemy. When a CM is running just out of range of the turrets from a base to throw poison you are much more likely to get him with a rifle than any of the melee attacks. In fact my personal experience has been that I only switch to melee in PvP when a melee fighter comes up to me and I wasn't able to drop him before he got to me. It is my opinion however that if you want to use melee fighting in PvP, swordsman or fencer is going to give you a slight edge over TKA because of the mind hit or the stun damage. However I find the meditative line of TKA to be really important. Healing wounds quickly really only comes in at master, but it is super valuable when I die and have to clone someplace i haven't stored my clone data or need to heal wounds from those disease ticks. Not only do I add 550 points to all my primary stats when going into a battle but I can heal hundreds of points of wound damage, in same cases adding up to a difference of 1000 points, all just from having TKA as a support profession in PvP.

As far as PvE goes, I love TKA, very little I can't solo when buffed, not sure how good swordsman is but TKA is excellent.

Depends what you wanna do.. Rifle/Sword if your more geared towards PvE and TKA for PvP. Still you'll mainly be using rifle for taking them down so I think tkm would help you most applying states, kd's etc.

So, the debate is pretty much in the title. Personally, I think Rifleman/ Swordsman is better. Why? Because these are the two professions that BEST DIRECTLY attack the mind pool, the only unhealable pool in HAM. While I must give props to TKA for Force of Will, Meditation, and the fact that they just own everything in sight, Swordsman's ability to decimate mind is by far, in my opinion, superior. Being Rifleman is tough without a melee profession to back it up. That's why a lot of people pick TK or Swordsman. Well I mean its not too tough, but its definitely advantagious to have a backup profession. CH is nice, but it's not nice right now because it's so broken. So, what do all of you think?

hehe try having ranger as your backup profession

Just wanted to add my 2 cents. My template is in the sig, along with novice medic for Stim B's. Heres how it comes down, I go up against Master CM/Master Rifle all the time and I usually come out with a pretty even chance of winning 1v1 (unless I do something stupid) All of the advantages of rifleman/swordsman that have already been discussed, but instead of TKA branches I went Master Brawler to help out my sword skills. Scenario.. I see the CM or he/she see's me. Burst run to them and hit with intimidate2/2hlunge 2 first thing. Puts any CM/Rifle template on the ground. At this point you switch to jawa rifle and start shooting, then when they get up hit them with warcry 2/ 2hlung2 rinse repeat. I admit this strategy is not the best thing going, but it works for me and I get to keep the Swordsmand/Rifleman template. Anyhoo hope that helps

I am master swords, master rifle, 2304 tka. Yeah yeah I can get 4304, but umm I got really lazy. Anyways master swords can get pretty good if you can get speed tapes and a good hammer. They have decent toughness which helps against melee, and their CoB is almost as good as fencers. You can hit both ranged and melee defense caps with some tka dabbling. You will get the meditate goodness, as well as some extra stat defenses. Swordsmen excel at killing purely ranged professions. They can stand toe to toe against fencers, and even out damage them if you have full stun armor on. In my opinion TKMs are more dangerous to swordsmen then fencers. Swordsmen do the most damage out of all three against enemies with full stun armor on. TKM are troublesome to other melees because their damage is pratically unmitigated my melee mitigation 3, and they have the highest toughness. Fencer are good vs anything without all stun armor, which may or may not be the case with the people you PvP with. Swordsmen can outdamage all the melees if they have a good hammer, and a few speed attachments. I guess it depends on what you want to do. If you are looking to survive against swordsmen pick TKM, if you are seeing more fencers, and you have the money to buy attachments get swordsmen. I actually think all three are pretty well balanced right now if you have the right equipment.

In light of the upcoming rebalance gossip from fanfest:

You may not want to base your template on specifically trying to target all mind pool... just a thought.

I beat the living piss out of a fencer with a fire stick one time.

that was an insane battle

but in the end, i was the winner, meditating my wounds away almost (ALMOST!) as fast as the fire would cause em

You can't meditate while on fire...
