no way can u compare the 2 u need both rifles...

the disryptor rifles ham depends on the smith i seen them higher and lower ham than a t21 and the power is generally abit weaker but this gun isnt meant for all npc you will find a npc will low acid resists and vunerablilties fall alot quiker than using a t21....

for example i can kill a rancor quiker with my dx than a t21 purly because of the resists.

Yes it's all about the dmg type and the resists of what you are fighting really.

I have hunted Rancor using a T21 and a DXR and there is a noticeable difference due to Rancor having no or little acid resist.

The DXR just tears them up while it takes a few more shots with the T21.

i never really used the DXR-6b in pvp as most comp has good 65% easy to acid that cutting ur damage down big style my weapon of choose is t21 or jawa ive used dxr-6b didnt do anything special damage wise.

i carry all 3 24/7 and spare incase i dont repair.

If thats the case then there's a 90% probability that your opponents (and your) composite has a 65% resist to energy as well. Most composite is either 80% kinetic or a mix with a stun layer. Now the big difference is the accuracy and the AP bonus (and slow a$$ speed of theT21 if you dont have your speed tapes) T21 has a 25% increase in damage over the DXR but only has a +10-25 accuaracy at ideal range. DXR is only AP2 so its still getting an AP bonus vs. composite AND the accuracy is +60-120 at ideal.

Being able to land more hits outweighs the slight bonus in damage. Save the T21 for PvE npc's or if you're going to be spamming SS2 along with 4 other riflemen. If he's wearing a stun layered helmet and realize this in time your DXR is going to win the game. Stun damage still wins against non layered armor though.

p.s.- if they make the MIND equal to the other stats like what is rumored to happen in the revamp then we might have to reevaluate our PvP strategies.

ya i know i always look for there weakest pool beit mind or health/action mind headshot2 with mindshot2 and 1 at the start to cause some bleed if it last long enough. if it health/action strafeshot2 will win with more damage per second. but ya i have all 3 in my ag 24/7 and in quickslot so i can change if it not doing the right amount of damage.

Couple of comments:

As others have pointed out, it totally depends on what you are hunting.
DXR6b is great for: most voritors, most things in the Geo cave, the DWB, anything w/ high-energy resists

Responder above said look for the weakest pool, but I disagree. The great thing about HeadShots is that they target a specific pool. The other shots split the damage between pools. So unless the targets mind pool is just massively higher than his HA pools, hit the mind pool. Experience tells me it can often take longer to take down a foe withstrafe shot 2 than with headshot 3, even though SS2 is more powerful.

id have to say t21 and disruptor on pve usin best gun for the situation

and jawa and t21 for pvp maybe lite use of the dx whilest on the run because of the range modifiers i find that in general a t21 with the ap3 will out perfom on acompo opponent than the dx.

as far as pvp goes jawa vs compo

t21 vs stun layered compo

dx when on the move

There is no weapon that will always to the job, carry both. Personally, I use the T21 95% of the time since I primarily hunt Nightsisters.

Thanks for all the advice. I just got Counter-Sniping II last night, so I'll be trying out my new DXR-6b soon. And I was lucky enough to find one that has a lower HAM cost than my T-21. Only a 656 condition...but let's hope I get good luck on the weapon repair attempts.

Thanks again!
