Well the -80 etc range doesnt seem to work beause ive seen rifleman kill people with headshots atmelee ranges with t21s :/

With the Combat Revamp on hold, it looks like block will stay an issue for awhile ....argh.

There is a Weapon i just bought . . Its called the "BEAM RIFLE" and no its not the Heavy Acid Rifle like commando has because this weapon is in the Rifle Class but i cant get any certification for it .. Not even at Master Rifleman ... please fix this rifle as it look really kool

now can i get an honest response on this?


how can riflemans be complaining? ive never seen one in PvE so i guess that is the problem. because whenever i see one in PvP they win 90% of the time. is this because the person doesnt have a helmet or something? how much diff does the helmet make?


time to try and get a NICE response to this...

Helmets make no real difference against a t21 because they have heavy AP.


Rifleman need bringing down to the level of pistoleer and carbineer, not remain on the same level (or better) than, e.g. aMBH which takes 2x as many skill points.

Ok ive tried out some professions in my day and i love rifles. YES we rock and have really dumb skill mods e.g. Block. But, trying to bring down rifles? Number 1 carbineer still is a crap profession no matter how you look at the fixes or anything. I'vetalked to many friends who were master before and after the fix, they still dont like it... Number 2 pistoleer is great vs riflemen, if we dont have the supporting melee defense. This is mainly for the pure factor that pistoleer is a defensive class with very very nice damage with the geo pistol schem and krayt tissues if you want to complain about us being brought to the level of those two professions that's quite sad bro. Carbineer needs a fix and Pistoleer is useful b/c you guys got mad acc while moving in conjunction to the crazy damage you're doing with out skill tapes while we are depending on getting our jawas over 300 dam base at a decent spd and trying to find insane tapes that are in huge demand. I think people need to stop griefing about how rifles needs a nerf practically i think people are having problems not hacking it and find a good defnse vs us. There are defenses out there i promise. Well had to get my two cents in finally finished my template and im stuck on the corvette so i decided to take up so posting in between my krayt runs.

Some of you want MORE damaging specials when rifleman is already by far the best PvP class... I don't think so... NERF!

Honestly, in response to what I just said... I don't think its rifleman that are too good... its just that other ranged professions can't target mind, which means in pvp they'll just be healed... though it may sound outragous, i think all ranged professions should have SOME type of mind hit...

Ah, I looked at a T21, and it's accuracy seems pretty much the same.


Here's an idea, make the accuracy on the gun give a bonus for using it at 64m (id actually let it be the only gun that can fire at 70ish meters) but make the accuracy modifier from rifleman less. You would prolly have to jack up the accuracy on all the rifles from long distances, except ones like the spraystick. But causing the accuracy to come from the gun instead of the class would cause using the gun up close to make you miss. But using it far away you would still hit. Which is the whole idea behind riflemen.


Lower the Riflemen accuracy modifier to about 120 id say, i believe it's 160ish right now. Then make rifles that work from 50-70ish meter rang have +20-30 more than they do now.



There's are my thoughts, feel free to say what you think. If you don't like my ideas please say why. Don't just say they suck.

Just thought i'd comment on what razorfin said, becuz no one has posted after me


You compared pistoleers getting a geno pistol with krayt enhancements compared to a jawa ion rifle.


The Geno pistol cost JUST A BIT MORE money to buy. Unless of course you can farm the thing which isn't exactly instant and easy. More accuracy while moving? I've never had a rifleman miss me up close whether he was moving or not, using Jawa, T21, or the DXR-6b thing, so what does it matter if they don't miss just like you. You still have the ability to attack our unhealable (without a combat medic wounding himself) pool with weapons that negate armor. Either other ranged prof's (including commando, BH, pistoleer, carbineer) need a major upgrade or riflemen need to be nerfed.


I'd also like to ask why Strafe Shot 2 is a cone attack? Rifleman should be all about single target high damage, plus the attack states it "brings a target out of cover", when it should read "blows chunks out of multiple targets at once".

So ? A -80 doesnt mean, that absolutely everything is a miss. Frankly, the arguing here goes like its absolutely impossible, to hit anything with a rifle in RL at all under 300m or so.On close distances you dont initially have a lesser hit-chance than with a pistol, a rifle is just more unwieldy.

We're not only talking sniper rifles with huge scopes here. Or does a Jawa Ion look like a long.-range weapon e.g. ? Or a spraystick ?
