I notice all these posts are saying nerf riflemen. None of them are saying to fix anything. Mabey if we had the 2.5x Melee damage people would be happy. No... then they would still complain cause they think riflemen should stand still instead they move...

We need to fix the ham system, armor and buffs. Not nerf any professions.

They should just have deleted this thread...

My first profession was Rifleman...this was in June & July of '03...this was pre t-21 on my server. I've also had a rifleman alt up until recently. I think I have a decent grasp of the rifleman profession.

Believe it or not Rifleman will be changed/balanced/nerf'd, orwhatever you want to call it, soon.I really don't believe this changes will ruin your profession...ie recent CMchanges/recurrsive macro removal. I posted this as a consideration to foster debate. Personally I belive the riflemanchange will much more drastic.

Ya well there is talk of makin us go prone to use specials. Unless they A) Nerf lunge range to like 5m and B) Give us more range, riflemen will be a dead profession. Standing still in PvP is a death wish. I dont know one person who I have PvPed with who just stands there and shoots everyone of them moves and if someone is kneeling they will be killed quickly due to the extra damage melee fighters do against them. So making use kneel or whatever to use specials is like saying "F*ck you I hate you I hope you die!!"

Hmm, being to inflammatory again... maybe i will rethink my answer or maybe we should consider not arguing with the nerf herder

maybe when the pistoleers get the duel wield they have been promised I will start calling for a nerf on them but probably not -I prefer to fix professions not make others weaker

No, it's not multisliced or exploited. Made with 186 tissues a LONG time ago (tissue's probably been nerfed since then, it wasn't exceptional/legendary tissues at the time). And just because the **edit**ing things aren't god damn stock weapons doesn't mean they can't **edit**ing exist, gee, my weaponsmith can't make stock scatters with 500 max damage, but gee golly I have 7 of them.

Of coarse I'm talking about krayted weapons, or gorax enhanced, or other looted components, and if you're NOT using krayt weapons then no matter what slice you get or PU you put in it you are using LOW end weapons, 600 max for a T21 is VERY reasonable, even for a noob riflemen with a bit of cash, 750 max for a T21 is ALSO VERY reasonable with good tissue and slice/PU. Don't even bother trying to tell me it's not because you seem to be **edit**ing fixed on only looking at god damn stock weapons and have no **edit**ing idea what krayt weapons even look like. Just stop even trying to understand it, you have no idea what good krayt tissue is.

And I'm not even going to begin with the jawa, it was multiple people that have hit me that hard, so it's VERY unlikely that it had anything to do with legendary weapons.

And that's it, this is getting stupid, I'm obviously talking with someone who has no idea what krayt tissue is, playing for at least a year and you're still a moron, congrats, that's quite an accomplishment. Don't worry, you'll get a krayt weapon sooner or later.

A T21 Krayt takes 11 identical tissues. All those weapons are going to be custom made. Simple reason is that the WS can make a lot of money by using those tissues in pistols or other weapons that use only a couple tissues. It's more cost effective to do so.

Which also means that a Krayt T21 is not the middle of the pack. It's a high end custom piece.

As for the Jawa. I've already run the numbers for 'ya. It wasn't a player crafted weapon if it had a max damage of 1200. Not unless it was an exploit weapon.

Am I the only person who gets the tissue myself and asks the WS to build the weapon with them anymore? That explains why you have no idea what high end weapons look like, you buy all those "uber krayt" weapons from weaponsmiths that were already prebuilt with +30 tissues and you think that just because they slap a 5mil price tag on it that it must be uber. Seriously, as I said before, you bring the tissue to the smith and they won't take them from you and build you 2 jawa's if you want a T21.

I see it all the time. But only about 10-15% of the population on my server has high end Krayt weapons. But they usually have alot of Krayt stuff. Other people cant get the krayt stuff cause of there template or they dont want to be uber. I know soloing a Krayt is possible (thought completely rediculous), Krayt T21s are not common, cause a group will share the loot. But even still, if your laser rifle is 1200+ max, its the only one I have heard of.

Bingo. You were claiming earlier that these were middle of the pack weapons. I was claiming that they were high end. Thanx for agreeing with me.

This idea nullifies kiting...I have never seen anyone kneeling or prone in PvP - it doesn't and should NOT work that way.

Good idea, just wouldn't end well the way I see it.

I remember in 1st months of SWG launch, i had around 4 Jawa Rifles, they were such a rare weapon to get, if you got one, you were god and become well known, cuz they were so hard to get.

I was talking about the 750 T21 and the 1200 laser, not the 600 T21, that's not high end at all.

The 600 T21 would have to be high end (Krayt)unless that number is including slices and/or PU's. Something you didn't clarify. The high end for a T21 without a slice, PU, or Krayt is about 410. Though I did see someone list a 420 Special Edition.
