Thread: Current Issues *11-11-03*
Y'all are going to hate me. I don't agree with you guys at all.
I'm a master rifleWOMAN. When you reach master level, all of those issues (almost) become irrelevant.
I don't go prone ever, why should I ? I don't need to conceal myself from any target, I just shoot and kill them. I havent noticed any warping mobs lately, and I dont want to pull out a single target from a group if i could just strafe2 and hit them all with one shot. And in PvP prone-ness is a death sentence. Don't do it because you need to be ready to run from the melee classes.
Even if the tusken rifle were kinetic i wouldnt use it. And I don't carry a spraystick I just use my t21 at close range it works fine.
And meleers should have some bonus against someone carrying a big unwieldly gun that I can one-shot them with. Good for them, if they're lucky enough to get that close.
And i don't care either about flurry or whatever being broken - who needs em anyway. point, shoot and kill. I dont have enough space on my toolbar for tons of different shots. Strafe2, HS3, SniperShot are the primaries, plus mindShot1 and 2, and Aim for those really dodgy types. what else do you need ? Do you want to make the target dizzy, or just kill it ?
I duel anyone and usually win (no one wins all the time). I dont care if theyr'e a master commando, tk, or if they want to use any pet at all (I actually laugh when someone asks to use pets in duels - that's when i know for sure i will win).
And I dont' need pets to solo big mobs either. Pets are too slow anyway, just another distraction. Why spend a second telling my pet what to do when i could fire off a 4k strafe2 in that same second ? like the pet is going to do anywhere that kind of dmg. Rancors, Dragons, Nightsisters, they all go down.
Need to buff ? yeah you do. Sorry, you cant use super-gun without having to do a little prep.
No the t21 doesnt need to be unnerfed, its the most powerful weapon in the game, and i do more dps than any other combat class period. (no i dont use a krayt t21 just a good sliced one). And because the t21 is the most powerful weapon in the game by far, it should be a lot more difficult to get a krayt one. Who cares of some pistoleer wants a tissue in his little popgun ? I don't let 'em have all the krayt popguns they want heh.
3-second cap ? yeah that is bs. Unless they compensate by making the gun more powerful and accurate at the same time and change the other classes also. But just increasing the cap to 3 second - pure bs.
Sorry guys but admit it you masters out there - the master rifleman properly prepared is a monster in combat. The penalty - no fancy shots, kd, delay etc. You get owned by melee at close range. You're only good at one thing, but at that one thing you are the best. That is what rifleman is. You point, shoot and kill, and when the situation doesnt support that you run.
You guys who are still novice or only part way through the tree you have no idea. Why are you sitting here posting on the boards when you should be out leveling up to master ? go do it !
I don't understand this bit
>> I just use my t21 at close range it works fine.
I can only get a plus figure on the T21 if I am prone and between 58m-63m from the MOB !?
Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure (from the size of those numbers beside the target) that they only count your weapon's mod at the range the target is and perhaps they might factor in something about the target, but they don't factor in any skill mods you yourself have.
These things I am saying are based on my very very recent experience also, I'm not going back here to the days when you coulndt hit a pistoleer if he was standing still with a big red target painted on his head.
I will add this though. My t21 has the advanced barrel and stock, and it has a +22 at ideal range. I have a laser rifle witha +59 at ideal range. When I'm up against some real dodgy fencer type, I pull out the laser and i use Aim between each shot. Because you do miss more often against those targets. I'm talking about the pvp'ers who have one primary combat profession and all their other skill points are spenton various defensive mod lines in other professions.

I can understand that, but if I follow the rules and take out two identical MOB's with the T21, one at 60m and one at 20m, the first one gives me 1k XP and the second 380 XP [approx]
perhaps I am still too far down the ladder for it to make a difference !
