Real reason is because you can shoot as fast as other classes and still do more damage.

hes right


riflemen have to spend thousands of credits so they can offset all their other game breaking disadvantages... and they get nothing in return,a worthless pvp kill, wounds, and 45 faction which they could get off 2 newbie NPCs. Other classes can still own without any buffs or armour... they could certainly own a non buffed riflemen if they didnt have buffs themselves.

play carbineer or pikeman much?


Unbuffed I can shoot about 3 specials before my ham is drained. Riflemen are extremely powerful. While I dont want to see them 'nerfed', they are definitely not balanced with other profs in some respects...

you shouldnt even be using carabine except as to supplement your BH carabine. And pikemen isn't even an issue, if you want melee you go TKA.

**edit**...urm..gah.. did you just say what i think you just said Harpoon?.. all the classes should be useful on their own without dabbling..


your post only encourages more trolls to come here.. there should never be a fixed set of classes withthe onlyuseful properties.. that utterly detracts from the point of the skills based system.

Well, if the devs will just bring the other professions up to Rifleman and TKM (ie, fixed), this game would work a helluva lot better. But, this being SWG, everyone's just gonna scream "NERF THEM" instead.


Harpoon, do you have ANY posts that don't involve complaining or griping? 'Cause I haven't seen any.

Well the person who said 3 shots unbuffed and my HAM is drained "What's your character's race and HAM stats?"


Second I'm sure non-Human/Zebark/Moncal Rifleman unbufffed drain their stats just about as fast unbuffed.


Third as people tell us, you should be buffed 24-7(Though I disagree with that argument).



-Seriously though Rifleman should have the Highest HAM costs in the game if they don't already. It may not seem like we have high HAM costs but thats because riflemen carry food around as a rule.(I still have about 200 doses of Corellian icecream I use because I spent good money on it and aint gonna just delete it.) Riflemen have always been buff monkeys and perfected the art because we are not able to stim the main pool we drain, thats why our HAM costs may seem lower then yours.

Now most rifleman are fat and drunk. Food and booze with spices as well, I can almost fire my specials for a full 2-3 mins without seeing the drain on my mind bar. So what if we can solo almost any creature in game ( I just wish i could get the krayt dragon to sit still while i shoot it :smileyvery-happy. The fact that the second the creature sees us we get a quick trip to the cloneing station makes up for it (the extra damage done to us for holding a rifle really sucks).

I have soloed initiates before. Course the first time i wasnt buffed and i died. 2nd time i got buffed and went out (was a wookiee so no armor). I didnt want to get up close to him since his LS did a crap load of damage to me so i brought out my republic blaster and kept on kiting the dude. Simple, i guess we have to nerf pistols now huh?
