I dream of kinetic damage also, but adding this to our top 5 would remove a valid and not already denied request for dev attention for a different issue from our top 5. We have been told that kinetic damage was purposely removed from our damage types and that it will never be added to our repertoire.

It happened more like a year ago. Nor do we need it to be Kinetic. Of all the ranged professions only Pistoleers have a Kinetic weapon. And that is a rather lowly one.

We have three good damage types. Stun, Acid, and Energy. Which is more than can be said for most professions.

I don't count something that has max damage 128 with ap0 a weapon (Best I have seen on a crafted striker, but I havn't really searched)

almost forgot devs said that we NEVER had a kinetic rifle, and that the tuskan was ALWAYS an energy weapon. Which is why they are made with projectile rifle barrels and i have one hanging on my wall. (never to be used, don't want it confiscated)

Just as Waste said, we have three very viable damage types. We don't need another.

Truth be told, I heard that was a glitch and that the devs always intended the Tusken Raider rifle to be energy, Waste, correct me if I'm wrong, please. As has been stated, acid, energy, stun, are more than enough. We can still kill anything moving, easily. That's good enough for me. I rather them address the real issues facing Rifleman. The tusken/kinetic "nerf"(or was it a fix?)is no longer a viable issue to address, in my opinion.

And I agree - let other issues be fixed before anyone even considers this. The devs have stated that Kinetic is a reserved damage type for melee so to them the tuskan being kinetic was a bug. As was the lithanium. The e11 was heat at one time? (doesn't remember that)

Not true. There is nothing we can do about 3 of the night sister classes, except run and hope they die of exhaustion before they catch us. I do admit that we already have a good number of damage types at our disposal, but given how fragile we are, would changing this weak weapon to kinetic be damaging in any way to the game?

This is also on the list for the weaponsmith's as a waste of a schematic slot. In my time as a smith, I have had one sale of a tusken rifle. That was a custom order special made for a role player. He wanted the best tusken I could put together, and price was not anobject. Form Fitted Stock, High Speed Feed Mech, High Caliber Projectile Rifle Barrel, & scoped. Came out to a 5.8 attack speed, 280 Max, 60% wound, +70 @ 60m & somenice HAM costs.

Now those are some serious parts I put into that thing, and Iused exceptional materials to boot. That is not what I'd call an exceptional weapon, unless it offered something that could come from nowhere else. Like kinetic rifle damage.

If we were Riflemen, and could be Riflemen only, this would be an issue, but we aren't. We have 250 skill points for this very reason. No one class should be able to do it all.

Can you point to another single combat class that is 100% ineffective against a MOB, and has no skill useable for escape or defence from that MOB?
