So how do the rest of the rifleman deal with the Super Battle Droids? I went there the other day with 2 TKM buddies of mine and it was ridiculous to kill those things. I was the only one doing damage and they keep spawning.
Has anyone gone there? What was your rifle of choice and what other professions did you bring with you? I am curious about strategies to take down the SBD's....
When we went, the TKM's acted as tanks while I stayed back and did strafe2 on them with the DXR. I thought about using the T21 for its heavy armor piercing but the SBD had 95% resist to Energy and only 40% to acid. We made it to the first right in there. Hit up 2 SBD's and were taking them out slowly but surely. Then the room respawned and we had another SBD and a bunch of the thugs. Needless to say it got a bit overwhelming for the three of us even though 2 of us were docs and the other was a CM.

Sounds like your group had decent profs, you just need more. Swordsmen, riflemen, tka's, doc's, and combat medics are very nice in the DWB. Preferably, something like 2 swordsmen, 2 tka's, 2 riflemen/docs, and 1 full time combat medic for tossing stims etc minimum in order to be able to make it anywhere in a reasonable time. The more the better.

Would it be a similar situation for the vette? I haven't done that one yet but it is on the list. If I need a group that large it might be time to start recruiting!

Corvette is a completely different ball game. Most don't actually kill the MOBs in the corvette. it's much easier to picture the corvette as Pac Man - you run around, train MOBs on each other, gather necessary items in order to complete your mission and get your loot, and then get out. The corvette is best done solo or with a very small group that knows exactly what they are doing. If it's your first time, look up a good guide (usually one that charges) and have them brain dump everything they now about the place and then have them take you up. Also look up the different FAQ's that are around - I think there's a pretty good one somewhere on the GCW boards and another on allakhazam.com.

Go with a swordsman and focus on headhits. The tka's can tank and try for the rare KD. Same for the Vette.

DXR all the way. Dont forget about swordsmen, but pay more attn to brining Pikeman and BHs. Electricity/Acid is the way to go.

take a commando... their burns will eat them up fast... then use surprise shot one the SBD's...add a couple swordsmen, a CM that just tosses heals, BHs with LLC are better than pikemen for damage... pike have elec dam, but they are only AP1... but pikes can tank way better than a BH can... big groups aren't always the way to go, unless they all know what they are doing within the group... i've seen great on paper groups of 20 tun ulgy when someone makes a few mistakes, or ppl wander off and agro everything back to the group...
as a rifleman don't fire any AoE attacks, its just bad... stick with surprise and HS3 depending on the group...

use a dxr and bring a melee (tkm/sword/pike) to tank up close while u shoot from afar. sbd and battle droids hit hard with range attack on anyone.

You can do the vette solo , just look at any of the guides on the "Game Guides" forums , check out the maps and you can just do it by urself..

hmmm i wonder....
there isa limit to how many NPC can attack a player at one time. i wonder if a group of 20 could get 14 members to the bottom of the bunker safe and sound...
6players attacking the same person will the NPC spawns ignore that one person??
rinse repeat till the group of 14 is at the bottom???
would be a interesting thing to find out.

We crafted a White Mandolorian Helm on Chilastra last night. The best thing for a rifleman to do is sit back and use Conceal Shot and Mind Shot depending on whos targeting what HAM. I use a Krayt SG82 on the Death Watch Wraiths and the bosses. Use your DXR on the SBD's and i use the T21 on very few can't remember which type the rule is easy always check your resists and switch according.
If you use Strafe Shot in the DWB your gonna last about 10 mins max, and with a good group leader get kicked. The key to keeping the SBD's at bay is with alot of melee's tanking Pike/Sword/TK etc while ranged just sit back. Like the others said too Commando and BH are crucial for sure BH and Pike. You can't let them respawn when you get them down to about 1/3 their HAM you drag them to the next rooms so they won't respawn on top of you. And always take out the regular battle droids first they area attack with bleeds and dizzy. Oh yeah did i mention doctors? Well your gonna need 2 for sure.

That is very buggy, especially in the DWB. I have a screenshot somewhere of around 15 DWB guys chasing me. Also like that in the Vette aswell.
