I am a Twi'lek Rifleman which means my focus and willpower caps at 500 each, with 1050 mind.

Now, Im getting sick of being kicked around. Sometimes I see poeple taking maybe 10-20 times more shots than I before they even consider getting incapped!

I know this has been up before but couldn't find the post.

Which armor is the best for a Rifleman?

How many Riflemen wears armor at all? I haven't been using one since I got HS2.

Mabari has good protection against kinetic and blast considering it's low mind encumberance but if your going against something big or doing PvP just use a generator.

I still don't get how clothes are impervious to blasters though

How does generators work? Heard they decay rather fast?

Somewhat, but just buy alot of them and put on another when the first dies out. It has 0 encumberance so they are basically a must have for every fight unless your strapped for cash.

PSGs (personal shield generators) are great yes.. but wear out fast. Put them in a macro so you can put them on in important fights (PvP). Never ever keep them on when fighting standard PvE as one encounter with something big can destroy it.

For armor I acctually use a full suit of composite at the moment, but only when eating food or spices to increase focus.

I use a mix. Ubi jacket, Composite Legs (a must), weave boots and gloveswith an undetermined helmet (tantiel?). The only piece that is a must have, composite legs.

I feel a composite helm is MUCH more important! You can't heal mind, why not protect your most valuable HAM bar?

Because the encumberance will kill you?

Anyone know what are good stats on a shield gen.? I have never used one before but after reading this post I am a little currious and am thinking of buying one now.

Why is the composite lets a must? I am just using a full ubese suit right now.

Also today I soloed a overt Commando using a PSG. It must have blocked 2000+ damage from his flamethrower. It was great though, I actually won. I even missed 15 times (yes i counted and i have screenshots to prove the whole thing).

I am also a twi'lek - I wear composite chest, legs and head, padded biceps and mabari gloves and boots - my willpower and focus is at 5 with all this on. So, what I do is pop a muon gold before starting on a lair - it gives me and my fighting partner more than enough time to do the lair and (and here is why I take it) - I can chain-spam specials without my mind decreasing a dot - it stays full - I was warey of spices before deciding to give it a go - wouldn't leave home without a case of muon gold now.

I am now a muon gold junkie

Previously, I really hadn't noticed the benefit of wearing armour, but composite definately makes a difference - my helm is sliced for effectiveness and the legs and chest for encumbrance.

I am using composite chest, ubese legs and PSG. I am doing fine with this. Doc buffed and with muon gold it take quite a lot of time to take me down.

I use Marauder armour (a gift from King Terak of Endor) which is 25% kinetic resist for a reasonable HAM cost. You can get Biceps, Leggings, Chestplate in it. I supplement it with chitin bracers and gloves (soon to be upgraded to Ubese) and a 31% composite helmet.

I tend to not wear the helmet unless I am soloing something big, and then I satisfy my Muon gold addiction to balance the HAM penalties and allow me to still spam flushing shot2 orMS2 and HS2.

I'd really only wear armour when there was a danger of melee or commando weapon damage. Generally when grouped I wear clothes and rely onbeing prone and farawar from the mob we are grouping to keep me safe.
