Thread: Rifleman changes on TC...
The whole rifleman tree gives:
+40 melee defense
+80 block
+55 ranged defense
Accuracy and aiming is improved as well.
Currently, the Rifleman tree gives +18 Ranged Defense.
+55 is 3x that, plus an extra point.
And we get, what? +7 MeleeD now?
Jeez.
'course, cynic that I am, I fully expect the MOBs to have their Ranged Defense boosted too, making it harder for us to hit 'em.
We'll see.
I don't think there is a nerf. They improved all combat classes beside BH and commando from what i have seen in first testings. Brawler classes got their tank ability as well.
After all they figured out that PVE combat has a problem in SWG and players die TOO fast.
I don't see why they need to cap our speed. We run out of mind fast enough like you said, but that IF is a big IF and most likely won't happen at the same time or effect our existing weapons. So I see us getting hosed more ways than one if they do it.
Whatever happens, happens. There are not enough of us to raise a stink about it if they do one, but not the other so I guess I will have to deal with it either way.
ps- Have you read the test forum, peoples equipment is getting destroyed when they die. I really think we are in for it next patch.
Have there been any changes in defenses to special attacks (dizzy, blind, etc.)? I particularly hope they add some defense against knockdown. Seems like the one class without a knockdown attack is the class most in need of knockdown defense!

Wow thanks for the heads up on upcoming changes. Theses changes in defense mods and accuracy mods look very promising.Like you said mostprofessions got mod changes other then BH and Commando, thensomething in developmentis definitely there to improve profession balance of some sort (at least some kind of attempt is being tried now). If all these mods are going to be passed in next patch then i can't wait; especailly sinceI'mpartaking in theprofessions ofranged (defense mods), brawler (tanking mod), and CH (anticipated mounts).
i think we are being buttered up for rifles having 3.0 minimum cap, as they planned.
