Thread: Rifleman Stats HOLY **edit**
What the hell did the devs do to Rifleman. I was just on a character builder and with just master rifleman these are your stats:
Rifle Accuracy: 160
Rifle Aiming: 100
Rifle Speed: 90
Cover: 80
Block: 70
Ranged Defense: 72
Melee Defense: 40
All those are crazy and I couldnt find anything comparable in any other combat profession. 72 ranged defense what the. Yeah ok you have to use mind (you get to target it as well) but take some muon, glazed glucose and you guys are machines.
Block doesn't work, Range defence is iffy, and even with that accuracy i still miss 3 out of 10 shots. because thats standing still accuracy, whens the last time you pvp'ed standing still?
and untill you become master rifleman and fight a BH that spams eyeshot you should not talk about how much of a tank a rifleman is.
i had a nice little post on the strengths and weaknesses of Rifleman that includes stats to most other professions.
basically, yeah, we get nice ranged and decent melee defense, and our accuracy is good compaired to NON-STACKED pistols + carbines. but, we get very little "defense vs *status"
pistoleers get less ranged defense, but they get over +100 to dodge which is arguably better than ranged defense + melee defense, they also get +40 to defense vs blind, knock down, posture down, dizzy, etc.
thats a lot! (don't quote me on those status defenses, it's +40 to a number of things, not necessarily those exact ones).
TKM's get over +200 to their accuracy, get defenses to knockdown and other things, and also get at least +45 to ranged and melee defense.
Fencers get over +100 dodge (some of which stacks with pistoleer), about +55 to ranged and melee defense, and +50 to most Defense vs Blind/KD/Posture Down/Dizzy, etc.
all rifleman relies on is all out dmg, and some ranged defense. we can't really wear a lot of armor except when buffed/stuffed/drugged. we don't have Knockdowns (there is a "passive" knock down of flurry/suppression/flushing2 - but it's difficult to land, at best.) and we're in trouble if a melee'r gets within 25m.
in short - we are very fragile, even if we are slightly harder to hit than non-stacked pistoleer/carbineers.
of course - there's nothing preventing you from stacking rifle with other professions to great success!

Most of the stats doesnt work. TKA can incap a Master Rifleman in 3-4 hits. Rifleman are dependent to spices and foods. Theyhave to deal with downers everytime they take a muon gold and foods cost a fortune.

And the right combo is Rifleman, Tka 4/0/0/4, Fencer 4/4/0/0.

I can vouch for that... I tested it out last night, I just wanted to see if it were true or not. One more hit and the TKA would have been down for the count but Unfortunately I missed my first 2 hits in the duel so... well you can guess the rest

This works both ways.
at +30m, we "own" them. at -25m they "own" us. get used to it!

I agree... and as is to be expected![]()
I should also mentioned I actually rushed towards him instead of away because I wanted to see just how long I could last.. It was close, one more hit from me and it would have been the TKM that was down and not me.
Personally I think both Rifleman and TKA are working pretty well as far as combat professions go, hopefully the rest of the Combat professions that are complaining about us will get fixed up soon and all the nerf crying will stop!

Actually the only recent change was to accuracy. We got an extra +40 on the previous publish. the other stats are the same from day one.
Cover, yea we get to use that a lot (/scarcasm off)
Block, is broken
Ranged and melee defense, yes we have the best of the ranged classes. The others get much better state defenses. It balances out.
