Ok, I can't keep my mouth shut any longer.
Has anyone, especially you other Master Rifleman, seen any difference in your Strafe 2 shots other than just a change in animation? I've been doing this too long not to notice a difference. I play primarily PvE, and my Strafe 2 shots are just not having the effect they did before this week's patch.
I've been out collecting hides this morning so I'm just killing bantha. Before the patch, there could have been 10 bantha standing there and if I fired a strafe shot 2 they all would have dropped to the ground. Now, more often than not I'm hitting (and destroying) my main target, but the surrounding mobs are not damaged. They agro, but they're not hit. It's not unusual that I'll see a "Left Arm Hit" or whatever on the secondary mob but when I switch targets to it, there's no damage.
I'm sorry, I think we got more than a change in animation in this patch. What are the other observations out there?

I've always found that hitting the things that you don't have targetted was harder. I can't say i notice a difference though. Last night I took out a mob of 3 aakuans in one strafe shot.

i noticed this too.. You actually do hit them, they get like a *Head hit* or *Body hit* or whatever above them as usual but no damage is registered

I think you may have a point Vianna. I don't use strafeshot to attack mobs, only to take down bases/lairs. If there are critters around the base when I strafe it they used to take damage. Now they just seem to aggro, but don't take damage anymore. Maybe there is something to this. BTW, thank you Devs for FINALLY giving it animation.

I may be more attuned to this because I'm a rifleman/CH. My primary method for harder mobs is to send a pet in, let him get agro oneverythingthen I just destroyall the mobssimultaneously with Strafe Shot 2. I live on Lok so I do alot of gurk missions for hides and cash and it was typical that I could take out 4-5 gurk on my petwith 3-4, maybe 5 Strafe Shot 2s.
However, on more than one occasion this morning, I've taken out a Dune Bantha with a baby standing right beside it and mom/dad/whatever drops on the first shot but baby is standing there unscathed. I guess I'll test this later on harder mobs but there is no question in my mind at this point that thereIS a difference.

I haven't gotten to strafe shot 2 yet, but using flushing shot 2 I have noticed a difference. I used to send in my tank to aggro everything and then use flushing shot to drop them all. Now, I will see the messages where damage should have been done and they will aggro me...but there is no damage on them when I target them.
I've also noticed that the cone seems to be "tighter." Before, if a mob was aggro at my feet, the AOE shots would hit it. Now, it seems like I'm shooting over their head...I have to step back just before the shot to deal damage to them.

I noticed the same thing last night while hunting Nightsisters.
I also noticed (although this might have been a personal problem, and not a bug) that I had trouble getting the final shot on them. Several times, Iwas able toget the mobs down to almost 0 HAM, but my final shot wouldn't drop them. I'd register damage in my combat log, but the mob would just stand there with it's final 50 or so HAM intact.

The bug seems to "turn off and on" for me. Sometimes it will work normally, but others it seems to not do much damage.

I was wondering about this tonight...Its as if the targets are in a straight line, you dont hit them...When I was on Endor last night killing everything in sight trying to get an Albatross to spawn, I was having to tab over to targets to hit them
Maybe we have been nerfed somewhat?

I was trying to avoid using the word *nerf*
but yeah, something's rotten in Denmark as they say.

I call it a hotfix killer, normally though they do this under the curtain before a big publish, like when they made it to where dodge/counter/block wouldnt stack anymore with the other. Well i personally believe this is where they want us to head, able to take out one target, and all the others can kill us at whim, seemingly enough, the animation doesnt support that assertation!!!!!!

is this the same AOE bug that's been around forever?
Use an AOE on one mob, the mobs around it get aggro'd, but the first hit that caused the initial aggro doesn't do any damage, but the ones afterward do.
