Thread: anyone else using 80m arms?

I'm looking for some opinions on your experience using these. How much of a defensive sacrifice are these? I just finished getting mine today so I havn't had a lot of chance to check them out. This seems to be a prime way to get those turret aggroers.

They are nice.....



All you lose is arm armor, you still have a chest plate, helmet, and leggings. I have'nt noticed any diffrence between whereing Bracers and Bicep peices and what I wear now. Also attacking at 80m gives you a damage advantage of taking an extra shot or two.

were can I get these?


one thing: do I need to replace one arm with the robot arm or both arms need to be cybernetic?

ya, the 80m shots really help quite fun too. anyone used /cyborgsnipershot in battle, what does it do?

I use both of mine to get the 80 meter range and lemme say its pretty awesome in Base war type PVP. You can pick off people and hit the turrets from a distance where its easier to get back under cover. On the other side you can defend a base much more easily if you have a set of em. Recently we stormed an Imperial city on my server and they were holed up in one of their bases. They had two long range snipers and my side only had me. However we still managed to knock out the long range guys by working together and I sat back and tried to pick off people that came into my range.

cyborg sniper is borked, it did 93 dmg for me lol

yea, jeff is using the cyborg arms to take out turrents while covert. at least when you had to be withen 65m an overt could stop you by targeting you manually, now a rifleman can attack them with no dnger to themselves.

Well, why the hell can coverts attack Player placed bases? I don't know, I was'nt here when they made the "On leave," "Combatant," Special Forces" system.

Also when I left, turrets had 80m ranges, why did they change that?



  • two +10 arms = 84m

  • turrets shoot 80m

  • 4m differential = dead turret without return fire

(Missed out on a bunch o crap)

Hold on just a damn second. If you are going to make an accusation like THAT then please provide some proof. I have NEVER been covert shooting turrets EVER. The members of <one>, at least the ones I play with regularly, make it a point to go overt every SINGLE time we take a base. Wether it's pve or pvp, doesn't matter. I'm not sure who you are IG, but you are severely mistaken by this claim.


Btw Turrets aggro at 85m so no rifleman is going to be able to get out of range of a turret and take no damage.

And not to mention, once a turret does start aggro on you it goes well beyond the 85m range. Not unusual to have it still firing at you almost at 100m.

love the extra distance but hate the limitations on armor atm, im sure they will fix that soon.

If you want to wear ubese your buggered, or if you want to wear a robe or anything that covers the arm forget it but again im sure they will fix that in the future.

Being able to use rifle from 80m and pistols from 50m carbines from 65m can't hunt now!

Just found out apparently turrets will not aggro you at 80m, havn't tested this out for myself yet though.
