Thread: What is a good dps on a rifle?
Estimated DPS takes into account just the stats on the rifle, modified DPS also uses your skills. So you will see the mod DPS increase as you advance the profession.

Lol - I didnt even look at the modified DPS you stated, just at the "noob rifleman", that you found your mod DPS is low and that you have the usual base dmg / speed.
500+ mod DPS is great, my Adv. Laser has 477 (Master rifles / Marksman 4004 / FS ranged speed).
If you really want to boost your DPS then add a Speed Powerup to this thing. I make a +23% Attack Speed powerup with a -3 hit to Accuracy. With your accuracy mod on the rifle your still going to have a +14 while getting a 23% speed boost. Your modified DPS should shoot up to around 640.
Now the issue with Rifleman is.......does DPS really matter if I have to wait for my action pool to regen. I take foods, spices, etc.. and I can still drain my action pool with my faster laser rifles (under 1.5 modified speed). So, how about a damage powerup?
I have made some special damage powerups for my rifleman to use.+29% Damage Mod with a -9% to Speed. Not as good at adding to your DPS as a speed pup but for me it takes my advanced laser rifle to +1284 max damage and I hit for a good 300 pts more damage. It slows me down just enough that I don't normally have to wait for my action bar to regen. This powerup on your rifle would get you a +1410 on max damage.
You can bump your DPS pretty massive with a speed pup but in battle you might find the damage pups more useful. DPS is only theoretical damage per seconds...nobody can sustain constant special firing in combat so consider this when evaluating DPS. It's still a good measure for comparison but not practical in combat in my opinion.
Pippin,
is that Advance Laser Rifle UNSLICE or SLICED?
I haveUNSLICED Advance Laser Rifle
Attack Speed: 2.4
Mod Speed: 1.5 ( i think)
Damage: 510-1086 ( i think it correct)
Wound: 14.95%
Accuracy Bonus +17
Base DPS: 329.38/sec
Mod DPS: 502.8/sec or 502. or higher then 8/sec. (gotta double check)
thats it.
Mine good? how will it be on slice?

My guess would be: Not a lot better sliced than unsliced, probably pretty close to the cap.
