Thread: +10 Ranged Distance

There is a Cybernetic Arm that you get from Dr. Kinesworthy that has the stat mod +10 Ranged Distance...anyone know exactly what this does? Can I now shoot from 75m, or what?

yes, it increase your range

Does it increase it BEYOND the 65m limit though? Or would it, for example, let a Pistol that can only shoot 35m now shoot 45m, but not do anything toa rifle? If so this would be useless to riflemen but very handy for pistoleers/carbineers (almost too much, since they'd almost have the same range as riflemen).

currently, it lets you get beyond 65m no telling how long that will last though.

I sure hopethey'll let the extra distance stand...I remember something posted by some one from SOE saying something about being able to shoot something at 70 meters...

Well i have attachedboth +10m (-10acc)and +5m (-5 mele defence)Cyber arms fromtwoquests, one startsin the Mydrill caves andthe otherfrom the Cantina from Bestine, managed to do both these solo so they arent that hard. What it does give me though is a total range of 80m. The target will still say out of range until you get to 65m of it but if you look at you target box and distance you can start shooting at 80m, very handy for taking down those pesky jedi.


If you need to know how to get them then itseasier just to do a search on the forums for "Cybernetic Arm" thats where i got the info on the quests.


Like i say they are ugly as sin but im willing to trade that for a total range of 80m But its sure to be nerfed sooner or later so i have put my real arms on ice so they dont so gangreen, start smelling, androt to the bone

I think it's unlikely it'll be nerfed...why would they have put in the mod then? If the mod could only be used by pistols and carbines then it'd be very unfair and take away our uniquness as rifleman (our range).

Yup I have 80m range right now ..


We have a couple of issues with this though..

1. Distance above the target still shows out of range for anything over 65m (even though you can still shoot at it)


2. Warping mobs . 80m adv sniper shot .. mob warps to 1m and beats you to hell

You don't even want the Dev's knowing we can do this, just live with the, your outta range crap

well then, make it intended!!!

as said above, if they dont let us have this, we lose our 65 only to Rm range...


well not exactly, cuz anyone can equip a jawa and shoot from 65, but the damage will be garbage...
