Thread: New T-21's good for low end Rifleman, BAD for masters.

I'm a master rifleman, my guildmate Zorg and I were discussing, the new T-21, tho faster with respectable dmg (if u get it sliced and put a 30% dmg powerup) is horrible for us. See I'm not sure how many other masters there are out there (at least on Bloodfin - I've never seen any) and we shoot the rifle fast enough that we really don't need a faster less damaging rifle, that is easier to shoot, as we hardly miss. It's great for new rifleman, bad for us.

I'm not sure how we will see this work out in PvP. But Zorg and I have been testing the new T-21's compared with the old T-21's and we're getting better DPS with the older ones. I guess time will tell if this helps, or further gimps an already gimped (pvp) profession.

What amazes me is that they even considered nerfing this rifle. The bottom line is the rifle damages me at least as much as it does the person I'm shooting at. I could incap myself with the rifle before I incapped my opponent. That's assuming I wasn't flat on my back KNOCKED DOWN. *sigh*

Master don't need any help, except maybe HAM costs and skills fixing but every class needs that. It was the people who were below master who needed the help.

We don't need any help? Could you please tell me how win in 1 on 1 PvP AT ALL. The only way currently is if I land FOUR (now I have to hit) HIGH DAMAGE(with a laser rifle which is just as likely to hit for 300 damag as it is for 3000) and they have to MISS three shots in a row AND ALL MY STRAFES need to hit the same pool.

The chances of this occuring are astronomical. I don't know where you get off saying we don't need any help. You are a joke.

From the looks of it, the old T-21 was way too powerful in the hands of a master rifleman. I think it's good they're making the T-21 worth while for novices, let's just cross their fingers and hope they lower the mind cost soon.

I'm a Master Rifleman on Bloodfin.

The old T21s are certainlysuperior, but the new ones are hardly terrible. 375 max damage, sliced for damage then powered up . . . can still reach a max of 600+. My old style T21 caps at 800, but 600 is still respectable.

The new ones are not really BAD for Masters . . . just worse than they are for novices, and worse than the old T21 would have been.

Then again, that is all theoretical to me . . . I have 5 of the old T21's, and have no intention of purchasing any of the newer model anytime soon . . .

The bad thing about the faster fire rate is that it eats up our mind pool incredibly.

They need to take down ALL rifle HAM costs, we are seriously gimped this way.

I must of madeat least 40 kills(well we were doing no DB so I count the first incap)last night and died twice. About 15 of those kills were pure solo, no pet, no FP, no spices or food. I would have made more but I spent most of my time waiting for my mind to regen, which is why I put the HAM cost in.

Sure we have broken skills, but so do commandos, and most other classes in the game.

My main reasons for losing fights : Still being knocked downso you can't heal, shoot, etc while standing upbug (fixed next patch), Chain knockdowns (nerfed next patch), Using all my mind killing people ( I addressed this), Eyeshot, other riflemen andme doing something stupid.

I'm sorry me being happy with master is so hard for you to accept, but I suggest if you really dislike Rifleman that much even at master you're playing the wrong class.

You didn't answer the question. All it takes is one knockdown and we are out. An insta kill move. YOU TOTALLY AVOIDED MY QUESTION. Just like I knew you would.

I really don't know why I am bothering to answer you, after you flame me.

If you die from 1 knockdown you need more help than I can ever give you.

1) Take novice medic and buy some 350 stimpack Bs.

2) If you're attacking someone with less than 700 mind use headshot 2. If they have less than 700 health and more than 1000 mind use SS2.

3) If you're attacking someone with no armour use the DLT20a, ifarmoured use the Jawa Ion, Laser or E11. If you can't be bothered to change weapons just use the Jawa.

4) When you get knocked down put on the biggestarmour you can afford until you get up again. Acid, Heat, Energy protection are most needed.

5) If you have the knockdown bug, where you can run around but not heal or shoot try and break LOS, run behind walls, rocks, whatever, just stop them from shooting you till you can heal.

6) Use weapon powerups, either +30% max / +15% min or +30% max / +15% mind.

7) If you still can't kill people 1v1 get a group.

8) Get some manners.

If you cant kill anyone as a Master Rifleman nothing anyone here can say will help you.

We have had T21's on Corbantis for awile now, have 4 pre-patch, but I am going to test the Jawa tonight in PvP. The T21 is very nice high damage, but sometimes you need staying power, which the T21 doesnt give you.

True you can beat someone 1 on 1 using some of those combinations but what does a bounty hunter have to do? Not a thing besides spam KD and eye shot. Now compare those 2 and say that we are powerful in pvp, having to think and use strategy and hope...or just run at the guy firing madly and hitting fairly often. And dont say that BH's should be better because it costs all those extra skill points because I have master marksman and could be a master scout if I felt like making traps, and unarmed spec, so I actually have spent more skills then they have and I will have alot more combat xp when I hit master (hell of a long ways away) yet almost all of my skills are moot. True they are low level and I only have them as prereqs to other skills I felt would be fun and wanted to get just because this is a RPG game. I dont expect us to be gods at war but BH's need to be altered a bit before you can say we are great at pvp. Well this rant is a bit helter skelter but oh well I guess I'm actually good at stream of consciusness writing

You are a total freakin pvp n00b or you consider jumping n00bs doing missionsoutside of anchorhead as being PvP. What a joke. There isn't a knockdown bug where you can't do anything, dope. The knockdowns STACK and they freeze your ability to do anything for like 12 seconds. Stims? LOL? You are gonna stim when a bounty hunter is eye shotting you to death ordizzy knocked down? Perhaos when a carbineer pistoleer has you down? a smuggler panic'd you??

You are a joke, like I said. All the pistoleers are just going to switch to smuggler after they get the double nerf on DA2 and knockdowns in general. BHs are going to dramatically increase in power and we really don't change in the power structure much at all... right at the f'in bottom.
