Ok now that I got your attention, there has been people like Zarl0k who has been crying about the damage we do as Rifleman so I decided to log some PvP this afternoon.

This is not a "look how good I am" post, please just look at the damage because frankly any Rifleman could do exactly what I did.

I took a look at the logs and the areas that are important, imo, are the kill to death ratio, and auto attack damage.

I would say without having to add up every auto attack in the logs that my average auto attack was 150-160. That is **edit** near equal to some classes special attack damage.

Also my stafe shot had a high of 1200 and low of 380 I think, but you could see I landed alot more 1000+ then any other range of damage.

Lastly the death count was 11 PC's and 3 faction pets, to 2 deaths and 1 incap on me.

BUT you are missing the point kinda. I want to show our damage output, if anyone can look at these logs and tell me Rifleman damage is gimped? Then I will happily call myself a gimp while I roll over my opponents.

This evidence only goes to support the statement that:

Rifleman are good at PVP, IF they are a Master level, and IF they have the best gun available.


We obviously wouldn't see close to that amount of damage if the subject didn't meet those two conditions, even if they were fairly advanced.

Heheh, good I'm glad someone besides a newb is posting his experiences here. Shows you can fight with every weapon, just have to fight differently. There IS no God mode.

Once knockdown is nerfed and doctor buffs become more common, Riflemen and Bounty Hunters are going to be the only two viable PvP classes -- nobody else can hit mind, and hitting a pool of 2500 health where a doctor can heal for 2000 every 2 seconds is going to be worthless. (I'm speculating there, my doctor can heal for 1000 about every 3 seconds, and he only has the 1st box of the doctor speed tree, and he's only using unadvanced Stim-D's.)

I do extremely well in PvP, I'd bet that me and my doctor could beat just about anyone except another rifleman/doctor combo (or BH/doctor).

The only person who's beat us in the past 5 days was a BH/CH who abused the Revenge TEF exploit on us.

If riflemen have a problem it's slow leveling. A lot of the master riflemen now (all?) don't understand this because they exploited jaxes and other slow moving creatures that have all been fixed. They have no clue what leveling a rifleman is really like.
