Let's face it, Riflemen stink. We are pretty much the most pathetic combat class right now. The Rifleman class needs some SERIOUS attention. I really wish the devs would stop focusing on BH's and Commandos, and actually take the time to consider the other classes that are completly trashed. Please /sign this petition if you agree, and perhaps we can get a Dev to notice the problem we have, WE ARE NOTA BALANCED CLASS!

Rifleman is not the crappiest combat profession. But we do have a serious weakness, close range combat.

We can do more damage in a single shot than any other profession. In 3 Headshot 3's I can do close to 6K damage. But that is it, then the mobs notice me and my mind is already at 50% because of insane HAM costs (I am zabrak at 500/900 focus/will). So one lucky shot to the head or 2 regular shots and I am down for the count merely because the damage for melee against a Rifleman is off the charts. Perhaps it is merely because some of the skills do now work correctly, like take cover, so I am detected far to quickly. I do not know. But I do know that in a group, I can possibly be the biggest damage dealer of all.

Its the novice Riflemen that stink. We have our problems at Master but we are still a pretty good profession. To all the Riflemen planning on getting to Master: You won't be disappointed. I can't remember the last time I fought a Master Carbineer/Pistoleer and lost. BHs and Commandos are still nasty. But not invincible.

As for Mr. Lobo, he got Master Rifleman a bit early. When xp was a lot easier. As a result he doesn't give a **edit** about novice Riflemen because hehas beensitting at the Master level for a while now.

But the thing is....adding things to novice might boost the Master's power too much. And then we might very well be nerfed to hell. One thing that without a doubt needs fixing is accuracy. With huge HAM costs we can't afford to be missing as much as we do now.

As a new master rifleman i know the PAIN of getting exp.. And I have to say that the way we get powered up needs to be adjested so Master doesnt get stronger but novices gets stronger... At novice we in reality have no ablity to group because we do mind dmg and the group does health. But they made it harder to solo so novice rifleman are really feeling the pain that you and, in reality, i never had.I had most my skills before the big nerf...

In my opinion the whole games needs to overhaul they way speed bonues works for all classesso master rifleman donest fire one shot per second. BUT we should also be compensated for our lossby making our gunsmore dmg and lesser HAM costs... The novice riflmean will benifit from uped dmg and lowered HAM costs... Just my idea at least which might not be popular hehe but its just an option...

I have spent alot of time sence the last patch testing weapons trying to find a happy medium between damage, miss rate, and accuracy. What I found out is Rifleman who only use the T21 will even at Master suck in PvP.

Rifleman does not have a weapon that can be used for everything. A DLT20a is the best weapon against unarmored targets and has the best HAM cost to damage ratio, and the best accuracy of any rifle we have, a Jawa is the best all purpose if you dont know what armor someone is wearing when HAM cost is added in, and the T21&Laser are for those times that the odds are so bad that spraying SS2 at multiple incomings is the only chance you have, plus the T21 is the weapon of choice for auto attack damage.

All this is out there to be found, but it seems to be much easier just to complain. I have made my share of posts about how bad our accuracy is, but instead of slamming my head against the wall I decided to see if maybe I needed to change my tactics. I found out very quickly that the T21 has a very specific roll and cant be used all the dang time, and others found that their time was better spent here on the boards crying.

im a novice rifleman, 2/1/2/1. im also a pistol specialist (of the marksmen variety). i hate to say that id rather use my pistol, fwg5, than my rifle. its so much easier to kill things, i do soooo much more damage, and i live alot longer. the only thing my rifle is good for is getting those high diff missions. which btw i can barely complete with my rifle, but i breaze through em with my pistol.

It's the people that put 34 points into therifleman tree and expect to be able to solo and kill every mob in the game that complain the most... case in point,

Well, when your character grows up to be a rifleman, and you've got 140pts in it (Master Marksman/Master Rifleman), if you're still whining I'd suggest you go find another game that allows for god mode cheats. 2/1/2/1 what's that 30hours of exping with the rifle? You said you weren't a noob in another thread.. in this one you say you're a 2/1/2/1 rifleman.. that's quite contradictory. While you may not be a noob to the game you are definitely a lower level rifleman.

It's true there is abugallowing commando weapons/the llc to do melee damage, but that will be fixed. Anyways, back to soloing 200k in missions on endor per hour now for me as a Master Marksman/Master Rifleman with a little CH. Hopefully I will find that Dark Jedi I've been looking to solo with conceal shot sometime soon also.

I'm really glad SoEignores the whiners with a handful of points into rifleman. If you're going to only put a handful of points into a ranged class go do pistoleer... there is much less of a difference between a master pistoleer and a novice one as there is between a master rifleman and novice rifleman. I see you already are training the skill.. best of luck to you there.

Gaz , I don't think you could be any more ignorent if you tried, Novice riflemen MAKE master riflemen Why in the hell should we be ignored! If that wasn't clear enough sit closer and read this.

NOVICE RIFLEMEN BECOME MASTER RIFLEMEN.... what your saying is even if a novice rifleman had the Same argument when he was a master it would be rendered "not worth listening too" because that person was a novice once.I am so sick of brains on rails taking shot's at the profession.

Am I the only one that is laughing hysterically at people thinking that the profession should be rated by how wellit isat Novice? It is amazing people actually come here and have the nads to say our profession sucks when they are not even close to being a Master. Get it through your thick skulls, you have not earned the right to rate our profession. You have no idea what we can do.

The last people this profession wants as our voice is people that have spent a very little amount of time playing the profession, they have no idea about the endgame and the roll Rifleman play in it.

On a side note weaking Master Rifleman just so you novices have a easier time is absolutely retarded. Like I have said so many times, it will be the Novice Rifleman that Nerf this profession.

I am by no means the most informed person in this argument, but I am wondering something...

I keep reading about the insane damage that Commandos/LLC are doing, and this is something completelly different from the fact that they do melee damage. As I said, I'm just going on what I've read on these forums, but if the 10k single shots that these weapons do to MOBS is true, then they ARE in fact MUCH to powerfull. I would check this out, but I am currently busy with RL issues, so I don't much time to game. But, I am about to log on, and I will search for some commandos or bounty hunters to find out what is true, and what is just whining.

heh, hope it's just whining, because if they CAN do that much damage, then we are WAY to underclassed. Every time I think of sniper, I think of assassin, because that is what a sniper is, partly. And an assassin that can't kill something/someone by himself, is just useless. Snipers tend to work solo, with maybe a backup squad to help if something goes terribly wrong. Perhaps I should finally give up and join the bandwaggon... a bounty hunting rodian is rather cliche, though, I think. Oh well, bye now.

Im a Novice Rifleman (3/1/2/2) and Master Ranger!!

And i have trouble sometimes when im out in the field.

I will say it for the rest of the rifleman out there.

If you are only going to bash those that are lower than you almight uber l33t master rifleman then please leave the forums and leave the people that post there alone.

We dont need you imput causeit doesnthave anybenefit to anyone.

Why do i as a rifleman that is failry advanced but not a Master, struggle, when i see Novice Pistoleers doing mroe damage and lasting longer than me? And dont respond with the typical "Cuase you are **edit** and not as uber as i am, or dont have any tactics", cuase i assure you i probably have more idea and use more tactics than you do!!

Im a Master Ranger / Rifleman and i dont really PvP but generally PvE at this stage (not going to get into PvP until i mastered becuase i take on board what you guys think about master and what they can do when they are masters)

The one thing i do agree on with you is that different weapons are better suited to different situations. Personally as a Master Ranger i think i would have more idea of what damage to inflict when, than you would. I can examine creatures before i target them and can tell what strike they do, what damage they do, do the DB etc.. Now even with all this information and tactics that i employ, with the use of traps and choice of rifle, i still die alot more than pistoleers do.

Im not a newb by any stretch of the imagination, and i do last alot longer than most rifleman do (and i help alot of people out with their rifle and scouting skills as well) but i dont stay here and bag everyone that whines about this profession.

Simply put, i master scout & ranger before i was half way up the rifleman tree and i decided on Ranger about 3 weeks after i did rifle, so their is proof that rifle, in my opinion has to be the hardest profession to master. More so now, when things are getting nerfed left and right. The way you, SilverLobo, mastered is more than likely not able to be done anymore, and for that im thankful. Becuase when i master rifle i will not sit on my high horse and treat people with responses like you do, i will sympathise and incoruage them, becuase iw ill understand what they are going trhough, becuase i to played the game and didnt use every single trick in the book to advance my skill.

And as for Gaz or whatever you name is. Im sorry but mastering a starting skill isnt anything special, sure an Elite skill is good, but master marksmen isnt anything special so i wouldnt be screaming at others aobut you being uber elite because you have Mastered Marksmen as well as Rifleman. Im a Ranger, which you have to master scout, to open and i dont go around telling people that im uber becuase i mastered Scout! For that matter i dont tell people that i am a Master Ranger either. (Im only saying it here so people can understand that im not a newb and am that advanced that i no longer have the ability to heal myself cuase i dont have the points for it)

Why would you master marksmen anyway? If you are a rifleman there is now need unless you are going to do all of that for the +5 speed bonis to rifle? If so i could think of better ways to use your points with, well of course that is unless you want Commando or something along those lines.

Please explain to me how you solo for 200k XP per hour on endor?

By your own definaition you have been a Master Rifleman and it took you 20 hours at that rate.

Also, to show you are full of **edit**, why would you still be on Ednor grinding for Rifle XP if you are a master.

If you are going to make up **edit** at least make it sound like you know what you are talking about.

On Endor, which i hunt alot, you would have to make 3k per minute.

Now this is purley crap, yes you can get 3k xp per kill, but you will nto get it every minute! You will have down time, its not possible.

So please mister Mater Rifleman & Master Marksmen in all your uberness please explain how you achieve such wonderful xp and enlighten us so that we too can become Master Rifleman and come back to these bpards and flame on any novice rifleman that dares voices and opinion on a skill that they have been working on but shouldnt have the right to suggest things becuase they are not master!
