I'm out with a group hunting and we are comparing XP. We are taking down Tuskens and everyone else is getting 500-700XP but I'm getting 00000(nothing)-36. WHAT GIVES. I do hit them I see my hits register, but I get NO XP. This is the only thing about the game that pisses me off and I need 100000 more XP for novice rifle man, not to mention the levels beyond. If you are in a group the xp should be spread over the entire group evenly like the payoffs.

A Rifleman in a regular group, cant use head Shot. Since the XP is based off of what dmg you do. You need to use Full charge shot. You will see a jump in your XP. Becuase Rifleman, dont have any special moves, besides one we acheive from Marksmen, we arent very good in groups, unless its a group of Rifleman.

well that is odd, because I use headshot all of the timein groups and I am getting pretty good exp. And what do you mean full charge shot? Do you mean overcharge shot? Because it seems to me that overcharge shot and headshot2 are doing the same amount of damage for me, just headshot hits mind pool.

Im not sure what Head Shot your using, but Overcharge shot is doing about 30 percent of the dmg, I do with Head Shot 3. I only have Over charge shot 1.

I use headshot2 and overchargeshot1, and they seem to do the same amount of damage. Do you know what the factor is in determining it? It seems to me that they do about 4x more damage then the standard damage, but I think thats to much.

I use headshot2 as well and get good exp in the group. Should be based of damage done no matter what pool yu effect.

i'm pretty sure that it doesn't matter what pool you affect, just rifleman wont get as much exp in a group because of slow attack speed, and the other people can get attacks in faster, thus, more damgage done for them, and more exp for them. whew that was a long sentence.

It all depends on the damage you're doing. If you're using a gimpy gun, you won't get good exp, period, no matter what skills you are using. From my experiences, rifle is equal or more in DPS to just about other gun class if you have similar skill levels and equipment. I have a T21, so your milage may vary, but you shouldn't need to nuke your gun condition by using OC... headshot will give you fine exp.

yes i know, as soon as I found out overcharge shot deteriorated your gun faster, i stopped using it altogether, now I only use headshots.

Thanks for everyone opinions on this issue. I use a Tusken Rifle and I usually start with Mindshot 1 and then use normal attack. I don't know what was happening but it was really annoying, hopefuly when I jump on tonight I will be back to normal XP.

Using Mindshot at tuskens is a waste, things go down too fast for the bleed to take effect...go with headshots and you should see your exp going up. Also, if you can get a better rifle than a tuskan you'll be much happier, find a decent DLT20A as a starting rifle, they aren't too expensive and you can get a decent one after running one or two missions.

The problem I have found is sometimes I get 000xp depending on which pool was the one that killed the target.
When I am using Headshot and attacking the mind pool and the rest of my group is attacking the health pool, if I get the mind pool to 0 and kill the creature I get a great amount of XP ... if my group gets the health pool to 0 before I get the mind pool to 0, I can wind up getting no XP.
Does anyone here use "AIM" very much?
