Thread: Krayt and NightSister Killing Template Advice

Killing Krayts and Nightsisters, Rifleman has the concealshot attack as long as you don't mind the time it takes. Being a Master Doc any aggro wounds you can heal. I would personally go with Rifleman. Swordsman has the advantage of Blast attacks with the hammer, but personally, I would rather take on a Nightsister or Krayt from a distance than go toe to toe. I know, I'm a wimp.
Nice. How long does it typically take you to drop a Krayt with rifle? Took me like 45sh mins with melee, and a crappy hammer.
Thanks for the reply.

For high-end PvE, I'd pair Swordsman with Doctor instead. AP 2 Blast damage will help a lot and you have the standard melee Kinetic damage(also AP2). Swordsman doesn't have the best defense, but the Counterattack, CoB, Melee mitigation and toughness you'll get should be a lot better than our Block, ranged mitigationand melee defense. Neither has very good status defense really, but that's what Doctor is for.
As far as Nightsisters, we have a limited number of options. However, Swordsmen can handle any of them due to their Kinetic and Blast damage weapons. Get the FS melee speed and maybe a few attachments and you'll be using 2-H specials so fast, you may not be able to stop laughing

Good advice too. With the all melee template I have on my main, I do well. But I have never paired anything up in PvE with Doctor. Tough decisions to make.

If you have any WS friends you can ask one of them to make you a 8-9 speed rifle with 485ish max damage, get it sliced, and own at the speed cap.
I'm not a master, yet. I'm 4-2-2-3.

And a rifle with that damage would easily have a speed of less than 8(damage and speed are on the same experimentation line). So getting a 30%+ damage slice on a 400+ max T-21(regardless of speed) would be the way to go.
I didn't know that, I assumed they expirimented them both down and could just leave off xeprimenting on speed and put it into damage. I really know nothing about crafting.

I cant speak for everybody, and I dont pretend to, but I think a large portion of the people that do solo things do itfor a couple reasons. If you kill something and it drops a krayt pearl or an armor exp +25 tape then you dont have to worry about splitting the loot up between 10+ people. There is also a slice of joy people get from taking on high level mobs by themselves without any help from others.
Now dont get me wrong I dont say there is anything wrong with people grouping up for these things but for somebody, like myself, that does enjoy soloing things they arent really alone. These people are sometimesin guilds and can still talk with others in their guild or they can group up with their friends not to hunt but just to have others to talk to. If your joy comes from hunting large things with others then by all means go ahead and do that.![]()
