Im +65 rifle speed at master rifles, and +104 i think with attachments and FS

But when taking the modded clothes and Armour off it doesnt seem to effect my modified weapon stats or wpn speed - anyone else having this problem?

Also accuracy seems quite bad now - maybe its me missin jedi with dodge though - any thoughts?

I've noticed the same thing. I have +12 in rifle speed AA's and clothing with with or without them I see no difference in my rate of fire.

I have +9 on my weapon. I hope it counts...

I was curious how general ranged speed and accuracy works. Is does it stack on top of rifle speed and accuracy?

Also, does speed and accuracy have decreasing returns as itgoes higherlike defense does now?

General means its not tied to anything specific. Yes it stacks with item speific mods. Speed mods have decreasing returns, but accuracy doesn't look like it does. Otherwise rifleman would be inherently flawed, because we depend on our superior accuracy to give us our DPS, not high multiplier specials.

I have +7 rifle spd in two peices of clothing. My laser rifle without the attachments is: 1.61 my est spd and 451.78 my est DPS. With the attachment clothing on it goes up to 1.58 my est spd and 459.48 my est DPS.

Is this a normal trend? This almost seems not worth the money it would cost just for an extra 8dps. What difference does accuracy make or does it?

Not through testing but it appears that 1 accuracy = .2% DPS or 5 accuracy is 1% DPS, however you want to look at it. But again, I haven't run all the numbers I have so far.

Basically, with any weapon, over (around) 100, there's hardly any noticeable difference.

I'm finding this as well.

Whether the tapes take you to from 2.1 to 2.0 speed (for example) we have no idea if this carries through or gets rounded, as all we see in the combat log is seconds.

I guess it's real diminishing returns after you get about 100 weapon speed.

That's what it sounds like... I think the +25 cap system was replaced with a system of diminishing returns. I know armor crafting, slicing and other things are like that now.

You may not be able to tell a difference in your adjusted DPS, but if you'll go into your Ctrl-C character sheet, take a look at your stats. When you equip your AA or CA, you should see your speed/acc go up if you have your rifle armed.

The higher your speed/accuracy, the less you'll notice a difference when you add general mods or SEAs.

Only fitting, you are modding a small integer value vs a large base, which is what I think you are alluding too.

I had thought that the DPS value was being used to determine the actual damage per hit, but this morning I tried checking damage per hit on my usual testing targets after I had advanced the combat box of rifleman, +5 speed, and noticed no change to damage per hit. Then I saw john_p's posts. Which I wish I had run across beofore.
