Yeah it surely works. I tested it several times. The only change is that when you hit a creature with 200 HAM and it dies instantly, the overhead number only shows the damage you done onall creature HAM pools and not the max damage.

I'm curious too, what is surprise shot doing now?

I almost have the xps for a new skill, so it would be great to hear what it's doing now.

It works exactly like concealshot for me when in cover, but withbetter damage. Have not used it on BAF mobs yet.

Yea, it seemed to work, but BAF did as with conceal shot and attacked me. It's still cool that it works , even if only part way.

2 questions:

Issurprise better than Strafe Shot 2 (for damage and/or ham cost)

Do grouping mobs still swarm when you hit from cover?

evidently there was a bug with the patcher that made it not take effect when i first tried it after the patch today at lunch. just logged in and tried again and my AP is working now. really odd.

There's definitely something different with the way damage information is displayed above the head of the target now. I think that's what's throwing people off.

If anyone has been able to decode how this works I'd love to know

I agree with the people who say that AP is fixed.

I noticed that damage seems to be back to the way it was before the patch--however, i didn't pay much attention to the floatie numbers before. I did notice today that when i used headshot2 with a t21, i saw a blue floatie go above the target's head. This should mean (i think) that this amount of damage was done to the target's mind pool. But actually, this floatie was the total damage for the shot (what had been done to all three pools). But I'm just happy damage is back to normal.

It works the way it always has EXCEPT FOR the killing shot. That's the only thing that's different now from before the Wednesday patch.

Before the patch, if a critter had 11 points of Mind left, and you shot it for 25 points of Mind damage, the Floaty Damage would say "-25". Now it will say "-11".

So if you're one-shotting critters and seeing "OMG, I ONLY DID 300 POINTS OF FLOATY DAMAGE, BUT MY BATTLESPAM SAYS I HIT FOR 1763!!!", that's because it only took 300 points to kill the critter.
