Current Bugs as of Thursday April 28 2005


(possibly fixed - but needs testing)


  • Cover - very hard to next to impossible state to enter. Does not matter range to nearest object being bikes, npcs, pcs or creatures. No error message for why it fails more then 90% of the time, does the warm up and then nothing

  • SniperShot - fires rarely - you get the warm up and then it does not fire off. It will work at times but it appears to be almost random

  • ConcealShot - gives wrong state warning even when under cover and does not fire, this is also a random event

  • StartleShot -delay is to short, does not work to force posture up very well (delay may now be working as intended - test vs pistoleer delay to see if it is the same length)

  • KneecapShot - still no real discernible speed decrease for higher level mobs

  • Weapon Certs


    • most rifle certs are messed up- wrong cert's or master rifle only certs

    • eg: cl 14 rifle - spraystick - cert'd only to master rifleman



    • FS Ranged Mods - Force Sensative Ranged mods are not working for ranged weapons. However Melee mods are effect ranged weapons confirmed fixed!!!

    • Prone Warping - When going prone there are occassion where the player will 'warp' a fair amount of distance. This usually has a very negative result on Rifleman as they usualy go prone at or close to max range. The 'warp' frequently takes them out of range to the target


    • any more bugs? if so please post them here and I will pass them on as well.

        Tried overcharge shot - same problem as sniper shot.

        I found Conceal shot works..But you have to make sure you are in +cover+. Yet you never get +Cover+ failed..So if you don't see the +Cover+ then concel will not work..Hard to find out what weapons you are certified for. And the description are hard to make out what it does, but that is more of a grammer not a bug. Not sure if it is a bug but aim takes you out of cover. or it did with me when i would try to aim then conceal shot

        I'm a wookiee using a bowcaster. None of the specials work for me damage-wise. I can use ranged shot and do damage, but the rest of them show the damage, but no health reduction. I can fire to my heart's content and the mob will even come up on me and try to attack, but they don't do damage. I think there's some sort of bug with creatures/lairs that's causing this. I can shoot ranged shot all day and hit them though. What's weird is the damage shows when I use the rifleman specials, but no damage.

        Looks like weapon certs are fixed on TC tonight.


        Current List:


        CL 6: DLT20


        CL 7: DLT20a


        CL 10: SG82


        CL 14: Spraystick (also requires novice rifleman)


        CL 22: E11 rifle


        CL 30: Beam Rifle (doesn't require SL now), Massassi Ink Rifle


        CL 40: Tusken Rifle, Light Laser Rifle, Tenloss (also requires novice rifleman), Berserker (description says requires rifle abilities III but doesn't say that on the cert line)


        CL 50: Jawa Ion, LD-1, Fallann Hyper Rifle


        CL 54: Advanced Laser Rifle, T21 (also requires master rifleman)


        I didn't include the rifle weapons that were certed to other profs like the lightning rifle, light lightning cannon, and proton rifle.


        Looks like rifleman is well covered now with weapon certs. There is a regular weaponsmith schematice at each level in addition to a variety of loot-type weapons at the high end.

        I was beginning to think it was me,I used sniper shot 4 or 5 times for 3k damage a shot on a 2k ham npc and nothing happened to him.

        Thats a relief,

        though I'll miss using my T-21 and Adv Lazer until i gte those last two boxes I need lol


        On to bug:


        (I'm 4/4/2/4 Rifles)


        Issues using conceal(sp) shot. When it does take (which is hard to do with my bike watching me lol)it causes enimies to run in my direction.

        while this worked well on flat area's of dantooine with lowe level creatures (I could drop them boefore they got to me). When hunting higher level creatures (level 75 maybe) on yavin i had two issues.


        a) the terain did not allow for me to get very far away at all and still have them in my line of sight. So when i fired the creature instantlyran at me and ended up with in 35 meters. Meaning that my next shot or twowould bring it into my lap.


        2)Inever got to find out what happened with shots 2 and 3 becuase the creature would detect me before my cool down was over and throttle meevery time.


        All of this, seems to things a little tweaking would fix.


        All and all I'm enjoying rifles

        In addition to PVE

        I noticed in PVP that knee-cap shot gives you the +snared+ message. But no difference what so ever in their speed. I hope this gets fixed.

        agree 100% in PVE it's not worth using excpet against already slow NPC's

        Are you sure the FS ranged skills still dont work? FS ranged accuracy and speed now give the "general" skills, and they are factored in into my character sheet details. Of course its hard to test with the underlying speed formula still being unknown, along with its effect on warm up and cool down times.
