Not a flame, but he has like 17 posts total in our forum. I am willing to give anyone a chance, but they could have picked a more active forum member.

Give him a shot. Aldeon was a friend of mine, and now I'm even becoming a Rifleman so there's another voice for you. Also, I'm willing to help him adjust in anyway possible as now being a correspondent, especially for a class such as this, is becoming increasingly difficult and even more time consuming.

I'm sure they wouldn't have chosen him if he wasn't; however, there are some professions out there that are a LOT more messed up like Chef or Squad Leader that really need some attention. Though, while these may be priorities, all other professions are getting a lot of attention as well. TH is nearly up to speed and may god help all the correspondents when he is

I find this very strange... but hey, maybe he'll do a good job.

The interesting question would be: Did any of the more active people on this board actually apply for this?

I got a msg from TH asking if I was interested and I said yes if that can be considered an app.

I've never heard of the guy, but hey, I won't judge until I see what he can do.

I am happy to be one. Lets give our new friend a fair chance.

You all would be crying right now if the person AA asked to take over became the corespondent, so thank you lucky stars.

I just hope he is able to see through the BS whines about the profession and not get boged down by them.

This class does what it is meant to do, the key for the new corespondent is to make sure it stays that way. Worst thing he could do is alow "popular" changes that have taken nothing into account when it comes to balance ruin this profession.

It's a wonderful feeling to have applied to the proper address for the correspondent position, only to discover that the decision had already been made without giving all qualified and interested applicants an equal chance to apply The fact that the correspondent chosen via this under-the-table method has a mere 17 posts in the forum is just icing on the cake.

Yay. I am suffused with confidence. Way to go, Thunderheart. Well done.

Uhhwhy didn't VG get it?

Hispost on the rifle correspondentthread was very well written and hisunderstanding of thecombat engineisextreamly good. Until now I havn't seen negative posts from him.

I also feel a bit let down by this.

VG did you only email the correspondent address? Maybe we were meant to spam TH with PMssaying "pick me, pick me!"

SilverLobo who did AA want to become correspondent?

I have nothing against the new guy, but think they could have chosen someone who posts more often.

I think they're picking names from a hat.

Neither of the two weaponsmith correspondents were contributors before being correspondent. The first one was completely useless and disappeared after a month with no notice, the second one (who was appointed over a month after first one quit) was actually quite good, but he quit last week and we haven't got a new one yet.

Several other professions have received useless correspondents - the bio-eng correspondent wasn't even a bio-eng and some of them are mind-bogglingly stupid.
