I have had Rifleman mastered a few months. I keep hearing things about people soloing NS Elders. I think "Who Cares"? So I finally go try it out. I killed two. My reward.........a Satchel. WHOO I got a Satchel!!! Oh yeah. I killed a GDK and only got Mind Disease and 9 crappy Kimogila segments. I really don't care to kill the Elders anymore anyways when I can really wreck the Protectors and down with a Power Hammer. Until they fix them LOL. Oh yeah any of you take on the Tusken Observer by yourself?

Eh, all higher mobs are hit-or-miss with loot. Personally, i wreck an NS Elder in about 4 minutes, and usually just pour through them, looting crappy pikes and shards and layers - but then i got my Vibrolance from hell- max dam was 550, and it had a 460 Mind Fire DOT and a 310 Mind Poison DOT, both had potency over 75% and duration over 3 minutes. I'm still holding onto that.

The trick with Elders is to kill envery last stinkin' one you see. After every one I kill, I say, "That's it. No more. Waste of time...." But then I see another, and I say "Ah, what the hell.." After 10-20 repetions of that, I find some really great loot. You just have to stick to it. Of course, you can get some really nice loot off lower level sisters like protectors and such, killing them much much faster than an Elder, thus increasing your chances of getting some reward for your risk. Get partner...one that can lay out some heavy damage, and it goes twice as fast, plus, you can BS and grab-azz while bashing away at the Elder.

what attack you use? conceal, head shot 3, or strafe 2?
I use HS3, Mindshot 1&2 (dunno about you, but they still stack for me), HeadHit3 and MindHit 1&2. If you use strafe, you end up aggroing every single living thing on the planet if you only have rifle skills and are relying on kiting to stay away from her.

Bah....still cant edit. Anyhoo...if you use concealshot, it will A: take forever....get a good book and B: has a chance to apply a 1pt random bleed, whereupon she aggroes you.

BAH! screw Tusken Observers! lol i once killed, witha buddy of mine, 3 Tusken Observers (250K HAM), 1 Tusken Witch Doctor (150K HAM), and a Tusken Executioner (350K HAM) all of them did at least 1k damage per shot...lol and all i got was a severed Tusken Executioners head, and a smooth stone which i still have no clue what it is worth. all of this was in one spawn
The Tusken Executioner's Head is for the Lithanium"Busted" Rifle quest if not mistaken. No idea on the smooth stone though...

4 minutes??? Jeez, it takes me a good 20-30 using head hit 3 and an ok powerhammer (471dmg 3.7 spd).

"Revolver - Master Rifle/Master Heavy Sword/Fencer 4400/Medic"
A little off topic, but I like that template, I may drop CH and go for it since i'm halfway there (I MISS FENCER!). About NS Elders, I beat on them with the Powerhammer, but I have tried using the T21 on them, I'll try the HS3 and MS1/2 next time.
And I hear ya about "who cares", my guild were Rancor hunting last week and we came across some NS slaves and elders then some kid comes by saying we were stealing his NS spawns, a week later (just a couple days ago) my friend and I went to the NS cave and didn't find anything exciting other than crap loot after we cleared the cave, and the same kid came by saying we camp there all day. Seems he's the one that cares too much about it.

Yes, I do this differently though. As a combat medic stack 3 different types of mind poisons, and 3 diseases. Then hit that Elder up with a mindshot2. Then get on your bike, bike away80 m. Dismount. You'll have a lot of time to fire headshot3. When the elder gets within 40m, get on the bike again, just rinse, and repeat. This applies to every high level mob.
*off topic* My favorite is Lord Nyax on Correlia. I looted a +15 defense to knockdown skill tape from the guy. We have no defense vs knockdown as Master Riflemen, so this makes a BIG difference. The guy drops some good tapes...but he respawns every two hours. If you have the patience, go for it. */off topic*
