Some riflemen consider them useless.. they are usually low damage compared to the Lasers and the T21s. But there ARE a few animals in the game that are vulnerable ONLY to Cold --the Mokks on Dantooine for example. I sliced my own SG82 and it has 287 damage on it, so it's not bad. I use it rarely, but it has come in handy!

I wish at least the Night Sisters were vuln to Cold. As it stands I have nothing to use on them.

I wish it were so ozzie. Tusken rifle is energy dmg. Many of the NS's are 100% to all except blast and kinetic. Not much room for a riflemen there.

My Sg82 is dusty and unused. If it had higher AP or dmg it might get used, but AP3 makes up for 99% of situations. I've even done the math for Mokks and my T21 is still better unfortunately. I haven't done the math for those pesky 90% ancient canyon krayt dragons. They are only 35% cold, which could make up for it in my case. In the past I've still gone T21, but you do give new hope for a possible use for the dusty SG82.

Actually I can only thing of ONE nightsister that is 100% to pretty much every damage type a rifleman has, the protector.

The SG82 is a very handy weapon, especially at medium distances. Mine hasdamage range of 125/201, and a 4.1 speed. With the implementation of the new delay factor in changing weapons, I find that I'm using it more and more by itself so I don't have toswapriflesmid-way thru a battle. Those few seconds of delay in changing weapons can be critical, especially when soloing NPCs.
