When is it necessary to switch to a high damage laser rifle after first attacking with a T-21?

Never. T21 is better. It has heavy armor peircing and a high min damage unlike the laser rifle that has a extremely low min damage making it bad to use since there is such a wide range of damage that can be done.

roger that, thought I saw a post stating that there was some advantage to switching in middle of kill. Ok, then is there any advantage at all to having a high damage laser rifle?

Well if you are not master rifle yet and are grinding rifle xp a laser rifle can be very useful against targets that have low or no armor- like tuskensbecausethe laser rifle isfaster than the T-21. However, once you hit master just use the T-21 (as well as the DXR or the Jawa Rifle if required).

only in one instance that i can think of....if you have an insanely high damage looted laser rifle, i once saw a looted laser rifle with over 1500 max damage on lowca

rock the T 21, better all around. the question is, how many of you use jawa ions for PVP

do you guys realize that a RM BH 3000 can kill the jedi fast because the jedi doesnt wear armor therefore piercing doesnt matter on people like that

When the target is vulnerable to Energy damage. Which includes lairs. Especially for the non-speed capped.

I use my Pretty Decent Damage DXR-6B in PvP even though my jawa is like 419 pupped

disregard that... the T-21 is energy as well (this guy is our coraspondent?). Most likely you read a really old post, where people used to bleed with a high damage T-21, then switch to a fast laser rifle to finish off thier prey. This was due to speed, and HAM cost. Niether of these concerns apply now, for three reasons. 1.) bleeds suck now, compared the bleeds of old, especially in PvP, but also to PvE to an exstent. 2.) HAM costs don't matter anymore. 3.) if you're speed capped, you can shoot the higher damage, higher AP T-21 just as fast, if you're not speed capped, you might as well *start* with the laser rifle, because you incurr a 5 second penalty for switching in combat with the new weapon delay, there is no circumstance what-so-ever that you would ever use this tactic anymore.
