Thread: Blah.. need 35K of combat xp.. and it's killing me..

Use animal traps that damage the MOB. When grinding for my BH Char I notice you get a hefty bonus for Combat XP. Normal Combat XP for a newb mob 10, with traps you get 30. Varys though, but always a much larger amount of Combat XP.

Quickest way I think would be to buy about 30 grenades off bazaar(cheap will cost you dirt maybe). Throw and hit a snorbal with a grenade then Mindshot1+Mindshot2, DO NOT shoot it with your rifle other than bleeds or you will get rifle xp instead of combat xp. If you are sure to not shoot the snorbal with your rifle other than bleed shots and land a grenage it will net you 4.5k combat xp give or take depending on male/felame/elder and if your grouped or not. It does require alot of kiting, but otherwise enjoy killing 10times as many creatures

I've read that they changed the experience granted when using a grenade only, so that you do not get as much combat xp.


I've also read that snorbals are faster than before, making kiting them a useless gesture of the past.

I did the grenade trick on banthas, but they made it so banthas now BAF to stop it.

I didn't wanna get my last 120k combat xp using this methode as I find it kinda exploiting.

I just sent a pet in the middle of a crimson razor cat herd and just spam Flushing shot2. 5 crimsons is 2k combat xp.

Any suggestions? Someone suggested gernading creature spawns like a fool.

So post patch, anyone have some advice? I still get like 6K of rifle xp off a kill. But only like 120 combat.

If you get 6k rifle xp from one kill, you should get 600 combat xp. And if you are getting 120 combat xp, you should be getting 1200 weapons xp.



Isn't weapons experience capped at 5k?

Unless they've changed something the best way would probably be grenades. Stack bleed shots on the target such as a Piket. Then toss grenade, peace and run to avoid. You should be able to get about 4k combat XP per Piket if you're grouped. I had a droid I group with for the XP bonus.


Granted it's boring and such but it should work. Another suggestion. You may want to check the commando boards for Combat XP grinds. They have to use it in their grenadebranch so should have some good suggestions in there.

i think one doesn't, but just coz you do not have the cert doesn't mean you can't use it.

I use it but get like 10dmg isn't combat xp awarded by how much dmg you do?
